Heh, I've been seeing 666 everywhere lately and in the earlier months of the year, so have quite a few other people I know. Maybe it's just more noticable since 06/06/06 is coming up.

Oh my god! I'm looking for references to an entirely arbitrary number in my everyday life, where I see numbers over and over again, and it keeps showing up! For example, it's 8:35 PM as I'm posting! 835! That's 666*1.25375375375375....!
As you may have guessed, I think that finding 'magic numbers' everywhere isn't all that astounding, given how easy it is to find them. There are so many different possible permutations of one number, and you see numbers so often, that you will see something that suggests 666 to you at some point. You will remember that incident over the hundred million other times when you didn't see 666, and conclude something special is going on, for no real reason. | |
