That's what you get with software mode, you might want to look into upgrading OS (operating system) or the specs of the PC.
Doesn't seem like a bug to me more of a RAM issue, possibly Video RAM.

Eh, ok ill just play BLN on newer pc.
Btw does this count that Byond does have some kind of system requirements?

I'd think that it would mean individual games have system requirements that you need to meet. Every game is different, and has different demands in terms of networking and graphics.
