So since I'm planning on making this game in a far more professional manner, I decided to take a peek at how all the bosses do it, and they all seem to make these cool Progress Reports, so I'm going to sheep right onto the back of them!
RPG! (Obviously un-named yet) is a game I've been recruited to help make by IMD, who I must say has a lot of great ideas, and who I in turn hope to turn into great gaming fun. But where are we at, and where are we going?
Programming: Probably like 1%. This is because we honestly don't know when we're going to stop yet, but regardless we have got at least a decent amount of work done.
Pixel Art: Again, Probably around 1%. Same reason really.
Sound Effects: Guess what? Probably 1%. We have a great music creator, but we are in serious need of a person who can create us some sweet sound effects!
Overall: Yeah... 1%.
Well that was a nice big load of uninformative text saying how little we've really accomplished, so here's a (probably small) load of text, saying what we at least have got running:
The battle system! Our battle system is pretty much finished. It's robust enough to handle as many mobs as is required, features intelligent AI with a simple turn based mechanic style battle system that I can play personally for hours with endless fun. But alas, spamming 'Cast Fire' and 'Attack' on 'Mooks 1 through 5', a game, does not make. At least not a popular one.
And so ends my mediocre attempt at being professional. Next week: more mediocracy. Oh boy.

"Spamming" a single repetitive action over and over. You just need to make the backgrounds and enemies for your battle system dynamic, so people don't think that's what they're doing. And don't let them use fireballs until level 2, then they'll really feel like they've accomplished something =P |
