Refer to comment five. Go to reading comprehension class please.

You're still a hypocrite. Have fun with your Goku key.
While I do agree that games using other companies' content shouldn't profit off of the work, I do think that other anime games receiving back-lash that do not is a bit much. Hopefully, this calms down somehow.

It's a shame you're too stupid to understand that it's a very common name rather in Japanese or Chinese Japanese romaji. Oh well, this is coming from someone that has the intelligence of a pelican with down syndrome; so I shouldn't bother explaining simple formalities.
Regardless of enjoying DBZ, even going as far as to create and assist with the development of one, I think this is good. Plus some of the comments in the announcement post as well as recent blogs made it worth it. Sadly, I give it a couple of weeks before it dies down.

Edit: I'm going to yea+ this just to show I'm a team player.
I'm currently addressing VIZ Media to see if they'll take action or not. And sent; the waiting game begins!
Contact square enix with a list of dragonwarrior and final fantasy games while you're at it, compile a list, and throw nestalgia in it as well, just to see if they actually fact check before they send the C&D order.
I'll look into Square Enix after VIZ Media replies. If they don't I'll skip them and move on within the next day or two.
Squeenix will most certainly send C/Ds. Not to sure about VIZ or Nintendo (though likely, Nintendo doesn't like pokemon fangames).

Go be a jackass somewhere else.
@Galactic Soldier: Nintendo likely won't care. Nintendo is usually pretty care-free as far as fan games go. The few instances that they've actually done anything were over exact-replica MMOs and fan games requesting donations or payment to play. So I'm sure Nintendo wouldn't exactly care.
VIZ Media does own Pokemon you know.
Incorrect. VIZ Media licensed Pokemon from Nintendo for early Anime releases and the Manga to be translated. Nintendo and The Pokemon Company (consisting of Game Freak Inc., Creatures Inc. and others) are who own Pokemon. TPC won't care at all, since they are Japan based and like all Japanese companies, believe in doujin works. Nintendo of Japan won't care either. Nintendo of America will if anyone, and quite possibly not, if its a small isolated incident that isn't messing with their profits.
As Kagi just said, those are copyrights for the anime, not the games.
Right, they own the animation rights. I'm sure they could target numerous games with that right, given their legal department isn't trashy. FUNimation granted, only owns the animation rights for Dragon Ball as well.
They don't have any copyrights over the games, dude. They have no say in it. Now if a shit-ton of clips from the anime series were used, then yes. But they have no say as far as material from the video games.
That's like saying "I based my game off the Dragon Ball manga FUNi, you can't touch it!"
FUNimation has full copyrights over the DBZ series so that's where that comes to play.

As for Pokemon games, read what I've been saying. Viz has absolutely no say.
That's totally why they have licensing rights to distribute Dragon Ball manga. Hell they don't even have "all" the animation rights yet.
