Its been awhile since anything has been said about the game,id just like to inform future players that it is still alive. Bleach Revolution has made it across one of its final milestones; The designing and creating maps. Karakura town--random road intersection what? Random area in Seireitei A random Area in the Quincy village Another random Area in the Quincy village Map work is not 100% complete,we still have to go hunting for mapping errors as well as put the finishing touches on Hueco Mundo's map,but ill leave that for another time. Development has slowed these past few months as I'm getting tied down with school and real life mishaps. If all goes well i can possibly schedule a testing date.(no guarantees though.) |
Whew. This game started to scare me. It was seeming like a game that was never gonna release. *wipes tear* Good to see some progress.
The first map is weird to me. It seems a little too real to be a bleach game. The hydrant looks kinda rushed and the shadows look a little to thick imo. I like the second map alot but the buildings design don't seem to mesh well with the roof and such.(Maybe its just my eyes) Everything else looks really good. |
Everything has a shadow, except the fire hydrant and the buildings! lol
Anyway i absolutely love the water, grass, trees, bridge, roads and path. I think the fire hydrant needs to be touched up a little with a shadow. I feel the rooftops of soul society buildings look a bit strange when they cross from one building to another building. I think the rounded diagonal pavements around the road don't fit in and it should actually be drawn in a diagonal shape \ \. Anyway other than that, I am as usual... pretty impressed with the game. Brilliant job, and am glad to hear it's still going well. |
1)2nd pic you dont stack house like that its shitty and rushed right there there should be some kinda boarder on the bottom if you want to stack it like that but thats just me.
2)in the 3rd pic trees dont grow in a straight line just looks rushed. 3)lol in the last pic you can see the tree shadow on top of the roof of the building layering error. I been following the game and i like what you are doing i just dont want to see you rush something thats been taken slowly to make sure its done right. There more i could say nut alot has been siad in they other post so im not going to say whats been said. |
seems i havnt made myself clear:
"Map work is not 100% complete,we still have to go hunting for mapping errors." I stated that there are errors present, these will be ironed out during our polishing phase. as for that hydrant its an old place holder i forgot to replace heh. @ dungeonDan,you seemed to have missed the concept.I am well aware that trees do no grow in a straight line naturally,BUT in an urban setting whose to say that these trees weren't planted artificially?i intentionally placed them in a straight line. thanks again for the feedback. |
Great job. People need to stop complaining. It looks pretty good, and He's just posting pictures. Ofcourse if it's not even out yet theres still going to be things wrong with the game. It's still in progress. I think Zane knows what he's doing.
Good work Zane. Keep it up |
Wow, yeah I can see you have some work to do on it still, but for what you DO have, it's pretty nice brah.
This is slowly looking more and more like a Gameboy Advanced quality,or RPGs like Star Ocean and Tales that use sprites haha. That's saying a lot, when you look at what's actually here on BYOND right now. Keep it up! |
Once again, you have cease to amazed me. Your artwork is exquisite.
Keep up the good work. ~Swagg, Kdfd123 |
Wow the first picture looks amazing. The trees look so real! Can't wait till the game is up ^^

Read this, BR is dead now V_V, blame the byond creators for the crack down on anime games, Zane had nothing to do with this |
Blame Byond for removing Dbz games when Legal accusations where sent our way.
Because if we didn't comply with their demands then all of Byond might have been shut down, and then where would we be. |

Blame Byond for removing Dbz games when Legal accusations where sent our way. Anime has really battered BYOND in several ways. Fan-games should have never been allowed in the first place. All the low quality fan-games, rips and terrible communities of those games are what helped build the "BYOND games suck" stereotype that spread like wildfire. Had this been prevented from the start, our reputation might be a lot better, and we wouldn't have all of these rampaging, anime-obsessed lunatics to deal with. |
Zane I know you said that the map wasn't 100% finish and you will have to go back over it for errors and ect but you should really change the larger building in the Soul Society.. Since its the same building you have for the world of the living :_

...Man. Just damn. I doubt I'll be stopping the production of my game though. I'm not caving in just yet. Otherwise, BYOND would be useless to me a bit...

Trust me, BYOND's reputation DEFINITELY wouldn't be "better", if fan games never exsisted. The reason BYOND doesn't have such a good reputation, is because A LOT of people, hate the BYOND Engine, and think it is utter SH**. These are professional programmers saying this. They absolutely hate the engine. Therefore, they stay away from BYOND. They tell their friends to stay away from BYOND, and so on. If the BYOND engine sat well with them, THEN the reputation would be A LOT better man. BYOND can't blame fan games completely. If anything, they BOOSTED BYOND's reputation by "a bit". The only thing that will ultimately give BYOND a "better reputation" would be a "better engine". To be honest... I feel BYOND should work more on updating the damn engine instead of the website more anyway... |

Image 2. The set of roofs in the middle look weird, needs more shadowing on the sides or something, thought I was looking at a castle wall at first.
