I just want to know how to host on a laptop. I understand the concept of a router but it is possible. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. Thank you in advance!

Quick question: Do you have DSL internet? If you do, you'll have to pursue further steps than simply port forwarding...I made a blog post about it maybe a couple years ago.
