<!--
For the past couple weeks I've been using the new HTML5 features to try and implement a rudimentary video game engine. Currently there's nothing too big in it, and I've pretty much just got some basic event handling and have it drawing to the screen. For the sake of testing it out, I'd like to get a rough idea of how well different computers handle what I've got so far. To do so, please run the file here (may take a few seconds to load), and let it run until the Status portion says, "Status: Game loop shut down.". It should take thirty seconds from after the game loop starts (which isn't right away). After that, please leave a comment with the following info:
Average FPS
Browser (including the version info)
Hardware specs, such as RAM, CPU, GPU, etc. Anything sound-related shouldn't be relevant.
Thanks a ton.
[Edit]
Also, preferably, please don't have anything else but the browser running while testing this. It may influence the result.

NOPE.

After some discussion, I have produced a new version with a better framerate, and consistently higher one across browsers. If you wish to contribute, that can be found here.

Ack, sorry. Yeah, I changed it to ten minutes to test something else out, and forgot to revert it. I'll do that now. :S |
