Myhosting

Anyone familiar with using Myhosting.com with BYOND? I was just looking at this link: http://myhosting.com/linux-vps/

Seems to have some potential, but I never really know what is truly reliable for hosting games on BYOND. Virpus has plenty of the BYOND Community complaining, BYONDPanel isn't really what I'm looking for, dbzenhosting.com just seems like something old and/or for fan games.

I'm hoping Myhosting might actually be good. I'm also up for discussing other options, of course. I remember making a topic about shell server hosting a while back that had one or two other recommendations, but they weren't what I was looking for.

I know there has got to be something reliable the front page games use, but no clue what that might be.

myhosting.com reserves the sole and exclusive right to cancel Your account with myhosting.com, based on, but not limited to, You engaging in activities that encumber the CPU require resource intensive processes, including the usage of resource intensive software applications or server-side scripts require significant bandwidth (including involuntary DDoS attacks against You) and/or require significant disk space.

http://www.nfoservers.com/ has been a good choice for BYOND hosting (the owner has personally interacted with me and dealt with a few issues we've had from problematic users using their servers). I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for but check it out.

Hm, Myhosting is definitely no good. Seems a lot of services do that. I usually catch it, but that slipped past me this time.

I just got through looking over nfo, and I'm very impressed. I'd say they're a bit more than I need right now, but I made sure to bookmark them. I'm surprised I haven't heard of them before, thanks for mentioning them.

Yeah, I'm actually giving it another try right now. Works a lot better than my previous experience so far. I may have just had some bad luck with the game I tried on it last time.

Wow, that is quite the find. I am currently using EC2 / AWS and the nfo servers seem to be way more affordable! Now I wonder if I'd miss elastic ip's or not.
