I'm officialy gonna buy it.
But, the Region Lock it's ugly. Why we can't play other languages games? D: I think the Flashcarts will try to bypass the Regional Lock. But, i'm gonna buy Original Games. :P

Seems that the Region Lock is for the games downloaded form the 3DS Store. Any previous DS Game will be region-free. I think.

The Onyx color looks nice, nintendo getting ready to shit on psp's, though psp's already shat on themselves.

If I'm going to raise 250 dollars, I'll buy a PS3 over a 3DS. If they get some brains and lower the price, I'll definitely buy it.

I really want one. I've been playing Pokemon White through a Nintendo DS Emulator. Can't imagine how good it will look on the 3DS, although I may hold back to see if they release some sort of Extra-Large screened one. (Or, once my 4GB ram stick ships in, I'll just pull back out the emulator ^_^)
|
It's extremely expensive for such a lame upgrade. I'll continue to use my use my 6 year old DS, instead, until I can get a 3DS (new or used) for cheap.
EDIT: Oh, and OrangeWeapons, I doubt you'll see too big of an improvement. It's like running games made for older iPhones on a newer one; it just scales up the resolution of the graphics (resulting in loss of sharpness), as opposed to increasing the quality. I expect the 3DS will do the same thing, if it does anything special at all to older games (the fact that DS games have longer battery life pretty much implies that it won't add 3D). |
If it's 250 USD I'm not getting it.. if it's liek 200 USD I might for one reason only...ORCARINA OF TIME 3DS

Until i get it, i'll continue playing Desmume with Wifi. ;D Global Link, Dreamworld and shit. :0000 |
I still think Nintendo should have stopped making DS by the time of (DS)i.
I'm not saying the outer appearance of the Nintendo 3DS doesn't look a bit better then the DS lite. |

I agree that it's way too expensive, but the update is in no way lame. Not only is glassesless 3D an amazing technological leap for video games, but the 3DS also has a major graphical update at that. |
I still think it's a lame reason to charge extra; you might be a fan of 3D, but I think its a waste. For $250, the device could be so much more.

I'm buyin this shit. But it's not because of the actual system. I'm diggin the games.

On the issue of price, I noticed GameStop is doing a pre-order deal where you can trade in your old DS Lite through XL and get a lot off. Trade in an XL, I think you pay 150 for the 3DS. Trade in a Lite and I think you pay 200. DSi is like 180 or something.
