Funny how I can only get those entertainment.msn articles to work with Firefox, not IE.
Try clicking on the gallery pics with IE, then firefox.

Does it work for you?

Wow, thats suprising, usualy they won't let you use anything but IE to access a lot of their stuff.
|
Certain things like Microsoft games, this includes playing things like Age of Empires, it wont let you join the rooms in firefox. You can connect directly of course from the game, but that means planning beforehand.

Solution: don't play using the gamespy meet up. Me and my friend Adam just use the local game function and use Hamachi. Acebloke, what version of AoE you got? Maybe you could play with us sometime. We play AoE 2 Conquerers Expansion.
|
I got the AoE without the expansion, and AoE 2 with expansion, but I think I need to install it all again, I just got AoE installed. I do have Rise of Nations too, but I just deleted it for Civ 3.

RoNs is cool, I have it without the expansion. I usually host given that I have a gig of RAM, but my internet connection is only 300 kb, so it's not ideal. :(
|
Ah, I got the gold version, typical :/ I find it crashes this laptop a lot though, its definately a memory problem, it works fine for hours then blue screens me.
Edit: I upgraded my 192 MB ram to 700ish and that helped loads, I used to only be able to play for about half an hour unless on very minimalist settings and small map. Still crappy though. |
Pineapple rock has the gold version. I should probably get it too, probably can get it cheap now.
Don't you just love the classics section in Game? Before my computer got awesome I used to buy all my games there. Not bad for 3 quid a go. |
