We're shooting to release this tomorrow afternoon.

So where would a "Japanese Cultured" Game fit into, the Anime section?
Uh :'(
Anime:A style of animation developed in Japan, characterized by stylized colorful art and often adult themes.

Avatar from Nicktoons should be known as a nick cartoon instead of a fan made game or Anime, Anime isn't the only special animation type. >.>

(Reason they should all be tagged as fan made games)
I realize that some people will be a stickler for exact definitions, but the main purpose of these tags is to provide rough categories that can be further pruned down through search. If Fangames included Anime, the category would be too large to be of use.

That's like saying if I make a game based off a Hentai movie that was developed in japan, it would be tagged as Anime.

Except that shit would be taken down on BYOND.

He had unrated content on his hub.
Well, I'm sure Tom will lay down the verdict on this.

Yup, he knows BYOND gives you a game engine, and you do what you want with it. Who said this place couldn't be a bit like newgrounds, no ones artistic enough to draw porn however. D:
I can tell you the verdict. You want to make perverted games, go ahead. However, they will not be allowed on the website. You can use the engine to make whatever creation you choose, much like you can do with any language.

Because of the nature of the website and that it is geared towards children, you will not be allowed to have that type of game on the website.
No, we will not publicly list porn on the site. I would hope that much would be obvious.
Rather, I should rephrase that. The website is a family friendly website. Not really geared towards children, but family fun as a whole. Note the bright cheerful colors.

-just as planned / expected-

WHAT!?!?! No WAI IMPOSSIBLE! But, not to long ago, on "Paradise City" by Falacy, it had little content of nudity. However, after the update, the Tv no longer has a channel for porn.
BYOND can not police individual games so things like that have to be brought to the attention of administrators. BYOND can't really patrol every game on the website 24/7.

I'm aware of this. Also I was in a lot of conversations and was told different about the nudity.

And if you are new and don't know to look up specific tags for specific games (because you haven't been around to know what games you are looking for) it might actually turn off players from staying.

No, they do know what kind of games their looking for, they just don't know what kind of games we have. Which is a very common thing for any person new to a website. Which is why it doesn't matter how old or new you are. The system is practically fool proof...

"I'm looking for some kind of RPG to fuel my interests. Hey, there's a list of tags there, something websites have been doing since the nineties, I wonder if clicking that RPG link will take me to a list of RPGs. Oh hey! It totally does! Awesome!"

I don't think most children and young adult think that way. It would probably go something more like this

"Oh wow, This is a cool new gaming new site! I wonder what kind of games it has. -checks the main front game page- wow only like 15 people are playing these games. And there graphics don't look all that great. I wonder what these games are about -clicks on a game- Wow, this hub really doesn't tell me anything... And I don't feel like registering on the forum. And there discussion tab is empty... Oh! I have to download stuff and make an account. Screw this I am going to new grounds. -goes to another website-"

Because honestly, before someone actually directed me onto one of the games here on BYOND. That is exactly what I did when I was new and when I was a teen. Because really, the first impression for me wasn't all that great. Of course now I love BYOND, but then when I had a short attention span and a shorter limit to how long I could use the computer, I was less about discovering how great a site was and more about going to places I am familiar with because They have a lot of people, or they have the things I like/am interested in. And in all honestly, Just looking at the first picture there are a total of 6 players playing on those 4 games listed. How often do you think people come on and go "Wow! That game is practically empty! I should play it! It must be super fun and awesome!!" And of course that's not to say that the anime games that have 100's of people in them are really amazing and great. That's just to say that I would be more likely as a new player to play games with large populations then with small ones. As I am sure most people are unless they are looking for single player games or small games to play so they can fill the time before doing something else shortly after.
The first screenshot is a date sort, which is not the default. The default popularity sort generally shows decent games that have players (the top four games there are currently Teridal, Decadence, Nestalgia, and SS13 and have about 150 players total).

If a player wants to find games with a lot of players, they can sort by #players. It's right there at the top.
