Farmer Teka standing naked, Because i'm such a Pro pixel artist lol.

A screenshot from a game i'm working on, and yes i made all this, because i'm great!.

Just kidding, my pixel arts nothing short of terrible and lacking detail and i use very few colours which kind of makes it look more cartoony.. which i like anyway since i'm an anime fan lol
and my shading is usually pillow shaded which isn't very well done either, so of course the base isn't very good :|



And heres a boat i made too, lol shadings not great, but i'm glad of how the shape and most of the details looks though


And heres just some grass, a rock my fences and my funky tree ;) lol the leaves look like a lot of scribble, because that is exactly what it was lol



Heres a bit of unfertile land with some dead trees a cave and soem treasure chests.



And heres the inside of my boat woo table chairs wardrobe desk lol windows, amazing right? lol



The Things which i know i need to improve on are pixel detail, patience, understanding of shading, better color blending and some actual skill!, lol

This game is an RPG, it's currently in early development, by which I mean it was started late December/early January. We're still working on the story to the game, so there isn't much I can tell ya. :P Though it's about a war raging out again two races, The Humans and The Elves. :)

Your art skills have potential, but it seems you are lacking something. Figure out what it is you are lacking and fix the issue, maybe then your art will be free to improve massively Mr.Teka.

Lol Damn, not as many experienced artists have commented on it, i was expected a bit of a grilling and Hopefully some pointers lol.


@Syntty Thanks for the complement, i was quite proud of my boat to be honest lol, could be better but was a job well done none the less.

@Nadrew Thanks lol but that doesn't sound good since your nearly 100% only a programmer T_T lol

@Dino your right, i'm a polite guy and i like being nice and friendly but thats why i have this guild with some people who are not as nice as me, so hopefully when i'm under attack, the family would come and sweep my problems under the carpet :P.

So i have concluded.. I didn't get anywhere near as many comments directly about my work, maybe i should have said please comment somewhere?! lol

Anyway thanks for taking the time to read my post, i know a lot more people have seen my post, but apparently they do not want to comment obviously trying not to offend me since they only have bad things to say.. but ... say them if you must, i can take it. =(

I think it looks pretty good... only thing you can maybe work on is the seaming. I have the same problem when i do art. What i mean by the seaming is in the water/boat picture, the water tiles don't blend together very well. But other then that you did pretty well for someone who isn't as experienced imo.

Looking forward to seeing more screenshots :)
