Descriptive Problem Summary:
When I copy an animation from dmi(1) and paste it into dmi(2), then copy something from dmi(2) into dmi(3) when I return to dmi(1) it is still highlighted as if it is selected but if I try to copy it pressing ctrl C it won't copy.

Expected Results:
Expect it to copy without any problem

Actual Results:

Won't let me

Does the problem occur:
all the time, when doing the steps I explained or even going back and forth between dmi's

When does the problem NOT occur?

When I click in the highlighted dmi animation

Workarounds:

Click on the highlighted animation

When I tested this, returning to the original icon did not show anything selected. It's possible that there's some critical difference between what we're both doing though, so a more detailed set of steps would help.
For me, it shows it selected, but in gray. If you're inside a frame, and use the selection tool, then the selection remains highlighted, but you can no longer copy it.
It would also be nice if we could copy icon_states between separate instances of DM.
