Thought I'd post a small preview of the new S19 city map. (Or at least a small part of it)

The grey background will be replaced by pavement/road

This is the small park area that will govern the centre of the city map, around it will be large open style city. This map will be our first dynamic map featuring areas that open/close depending on the amount of players in the round and other random factors. This insures the map will never be too big or small for the amount of players currently playing.

It's very bare at the moment a few details here and there and some blood and gore and I'm sure it'll spruce right up.

Also some of you might have been online for the very small 2.0 public test last night. Thanks to those of you who joined and I'll take this chance to announce that we WILL NOT be using a lighting system in 2.0 as at the moment it's just too laggy in multiplayer it will be removed from 2.0 and later versions until further notice. However we are thinking hard on some awesome new features and additions. So keep your eyes peeled ;)

Regarding the screen-shot, the grass really tiles badly. Try adding in some shrubbery or adding some parts that stick-out a bit like longer blades of grass in a couple areas.
Also, the paths are too robotic. Try adding curves.

I plan to add more to break up the tiles and make it look more natural. As for the paths they are intentionally meant to be straight as it's supposed to be man made. However I'll try curves and see which looks better. I'll probably post an update later/tomorrow on this area.
