And sometimes real life overlaps programming life, despite your best attempts to prevent it. In my course "History of Media" in University, we all have to present a media format and describe its history, criticisms of it, and its influence on society and culture in a 45-90 minute presentation.
We have already gone from writing over print and radio and photographs, telephones and movies. My own report is for two weeks on "Computer, Multimedia, and the Internet". However, I asked my tutor if I could change the subject... ever so slightly.
And thus, I am going to give a report on an underestimated media form - computer and video games. And for my mandatory homework, I am going to write a thesis on the history and social influences of... interactive fiction, text adventures and MUDs.

P.S. Oh, and before I forget: I use two keys in Chatters. One of this is splattergnome. The other... I use for fun. I'd be surprised if you can guess who I am under an alternate key. And even if you do, I certainly won't admit it. :-P
