So i made a game, not for people to play but something to test between me and my brother for now. So i bought membership, and followed tutorials i am pretty sure by the letter. The games online ready to download and play single player(i made it delete your character if you arent me or brother) So when brother downloads it(im assuming if anybody does) connection fails before you go into the game, how do i fix and what are the causes?
oh yes single player works but not hosting and joining thats when connection fails. WHen brother tryes to join what i hosted
You should probably move this to BYOND Help, it seems as if it's just a hosting issue.
Hi Anthonytyran,

If you and your brother are on the same network, it is likely that the address given by the BYOND hub or dream seeker/daemon won't work. The address these give you is referenced to as the public address.

The problem may be that your router is rejecting public address connections when they are made locally, so have your brother try connecting with your private address. You can obtain this by going to start > Run > cmd > ipconfig/all. The address labeled Ip Address, or IPv4 address is the your looking for (typically in the format 192.168.xxx.xxx), Then open the BYOND pager > File > Open location > type <local ip address:<port number> (ex: 192.168.200.1:6000) Then click OK.

Good luck!
okay thanks ill try that
