As we all know, BYOND stands for "Build Your Own Net Dream." But what is your net dream? Many of us have probably wanted to create our own game, so I'm curious as to what that dream game is.
Not entirely sure what my 'net dream' would be.
BYOND dream? With today's time and social media... The closest thing to building my net dream would be finish and polish one of the old projects I've got on my old HDD and to take it to flash and post it on Facebook.
Mine is to create, release, and successfully own and run a game inspired by each of the two games that had a major impact on me as a gamer and even game designer.

One would be inspired by Diablo 2, and the other would be inspired by Final Fantasy X. I've come up with a lot of ideas for these games and others over the last couple years, and I've been working hard behind the scenes to become skilled enough to make them on my own.

Someday hopefully soon, they will be mine... And the net dream will become reality.

I'd never even thought about publishing to Facebook with the Flash client. Sounds like a really great goal!

I've never played Final Fantasy X, but I did spend many, many hours playing Diablo II so I can definitely understand being inspired by it. I'd love to see something similar to it on BYOND someday. :)

The reason many BYOND games don't get noticed they only advertise on BYOND itself NEStalgia is a prime example of perfect advertising to bad the fan base didn't stay very long.

I'm really glad to hear that. I actually spent years playing Diablo II; it definitely had the larger impact on me. I went from open, to softcore ladder, to hardcore non-ladder, to hardcore ladder. No matter how much I played it, there was always some intense challenge for me to take on, and I love that.

People should advertise outside of BYOND more, and spreading a flash game into Facebook is a pretty brilliant idea. I figured people would just use flash game sites, never crossed my mind that we could submit one to Facebook.
Well, mine would be a type of Metal Gear Solid 2D sneaking action game. If you've not played / seen Metal Gear Solid, go watch a bit of gameplays and see what I'm talking about! :)
A very simple RPG card game. Take the RPG-ish aspects of Magic: The Gathering, combine it with the simplicity of a game like Uno and boom bada bing.

That already exists, :P.

Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2 - You can play them on MGS3 Subsistence.

My net dream is pretty much the same as most others, make my own game inspired from ones I enjoyed but with my ideas and creativity.

I've been pining to make ORPG's, Sidescrolling Multiplayer Platformers and many other types of games but since I work on my own and can't find any worthwhile team-mates I don't have enough workforce to get any of it done.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ And PvP is my Net Dream.
