I'm going to send them a letter, not like "We're doing so-so.... is this alright?", but like "Would it be alright if I were to so-so?". I won't mention BYOND ;)

I just had a thought...

Let's find out if they care, shall we. Any objections?

Go ahead it is quite obvious that they don't care by the fact that they allow millions of websites that are doing the same things that you are objecting to to continue it is quite obvious that they really don't care as long as they don't loose money, AND FUNIMATION DOESN'T OWN DBZ DAMMIT!

That's simply not reasonable, man. You already made your point about that, which some of us have chosen to ignore. Get over it, its not a big deal.

I was going to ask Ebon about this, but didn't want to take away from my main point by adding a side point. You guys are copying from the same source (DBZ), of course your graphics are going to look incredibly similar. I wasn't even sure how he thought you stole his graphic... hacked into his hard drive? Hee.

Lol, you know you can just press print screen and then paste it into paint. From there you just erase the background and you have the graphic. I had like 4 different reports that haroki had stole my graphics, but now that I look a bit closer, I can tell he didn't. My final flash is much larger. I had edited mine from the gif too but instead of resizing it and loosing quality, I chopped it up and moved the peices a round for a while till I could edit it by hand into something that would look good. The head fo the blast on mine still takes up two icons tho.

Obviously, this is something you've done before or given a lot of thought to.

Don't you feel monumentally stupid now? :P All you guys with your little DBZ games are copying... not from each other but from DBZ. Of course you're going to all have much of the same ideas! If you're sick of other people putting the same exact things in their games, don't yell at them for copying what you copied first... make a more original game.

I agree with Skysaw. Let's all send Funimation and Toie a letter explaining the situation in BYOND, that people are using characters and visual likenesses and themes from their property and making their own games from them. Let's tell them that every day, there's more people doing this, and there's no apparent end in sight. That people are taking their own ideas and tacking them on to the original concept haphazardly. Do you honestly think they won't have any objections? If you do, go ahead and send the letter.

If you want to hear from them REAL quickly, just mention the fact that there is an e-commerce system in place for these games. Takes a lot of BYOND dimes to hire a lawyer.

It was original when Ebon started making the game. Not till recently did all these other people start making DBZ games. Before it was just DBZ-Spar and DBEO, both of which are highly different and offer a different style of play. These new DBZ games though are all the same.

I'm not going to bother dignifying this nonsense with a rebuttal.

Pray to God that they're either too lazy or too stupid to see through this. There's an excellent chance they won't bother trying to track down where this letter out of the blue came from, but come ON--the Internet is practically synonymous with "unauthorized reproduction." If I was an anal executive at some major entertainment franchise with a large 'net-based following and I got a letter like that, I'd leave an ambiguous response, then try and figure out where it's coming from so I could track it down and CRUSH IT LIKE A BUG! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I OWN YOU, FANBOY!

Ooops. Got a little too far into it.

Alright, THIS IS PISSING ME OFF! The only reason why im posting here is because I want others to know this as well. Haroki ripped final flash graphics in DBZ:NN from DBZ-Spar!!!

I'm glad this seems to be settled now. But it's always a good idea to directly contact the person you're having a problem with first and ask them about it before making public accusations. :)

Like you should talk! I only got 37 minutes of sleep last night and in sleep-deprived haziness, I can barely remember exactly what projects you've made, or what projects I've made, let alone what any of the icons look like, but I am quite entirely positive that your sheep icons are in fact nothing but a blatant ripoff of the Ranger from Delve!, despite the fact that I drew the Ranger weeks after all of your games first hit the hub and in fact I've yet to show the icon at all in any form online or even to anyone else offline. Dirty stinking plagiarist--I know your type.

Careful there, Leftley. If you make Zilal think you're cute, Guy'll kill you. ;-D

Here, I'll quote Zilal from a logfile way back:

Tom: zilal.byond.com
Tom: and if you register a domain I can move it over
Spuzzum: Ooh! spuzzcentral.com
Zilal: Sounds good, snookums.

Still think she's not strange enough to find something like that "cute"? =)

(Well, actually, I'm weirder:

Tom: talk amongst yourselves momentarily
Spuzzum: Hi me, myself, and I.
Spuzzum: How's things?
Spuzzum: Oh, not bad.
Spuzzum: That's good.
Spuzzum: Well, no, it's not bad.
Spuzzum: How about you, myself?
Spuzzum: I'm fine, thanks.
Spuzzum: You're quiet tonight.

I think I need to renew my diazepam prescription. ::twitches:: )
