Hi, I would like to say that I love this game. I wish that it was up all day, every day. Is there any chance that this could happen? I mean SpaceTug is up forever, why couldn't a game better than it (IMO) be up on a dedicated server also? I hate waiting for friday to play it, as I have fallen in love with it. Please, have "My Life as a Spy" on a dedicated server...

What Spuzzum says is actually a concern. I have only done future calculations for players up to level 20. I'm not sure how strange the game might get if you pass that level. I'm not sure I want to even allow it. This being the case, imagine my coming back after two days off and looking at the players at high levels? Whoops! Too late to fine tune the levelling process without having to do a complete character wipe. Patience, grasshopper. All good documents come to those who wait. |
SpaceTug isn't on a dedicated server; it's on a shared server like the rest of BYOND-hosted games.
(A common misconception among people is that a new hub entry opens a new server. It doesn't. It's not a new server, it's a new hub entry.)
I'm actually, more or less, happy that MLAAS isn't permanently hosted. People could become power-players pretty quickly if it were. If it were to become permanently hosted, Skysaw would have to make it so it would take much longer to gain statistics. Like, hours of work for that next level in your weapons skill.
