Until they read them? You think they bother to read and/or edit their own posts?

If I come across a word I don't know, I look it up. That used to mean getting a ten pound book off the shelf and ruffling through the pages, which was quite a hassle. Some households didn't even have a dictionary. *shudders at the thought*

However, you have the internet at your fingertips. It takes seconds to go to open a new browser window, go to dictionary.com or m-w.com, if "dictionary" has too many letters for you, and enter the word you don't understand. You have no excuse to not look up something you don't understand.

Don't be afraid, your brain will not explode if you learn a few new words today.

Be carefull though, if it fills up, you will start to forget old information when you put in new things.

It's just a habit that people have.

Yeah. Like smoking crack. My guess is the average crack user is more coherent than the average AOLer.

Out of curiosity, did you intend your name to be Bonzi as in bon-zee, or were you going for the word "bonzai" (bon-zye) and just failed to spell it correctly?

No, I am also reffering to games to where you type what you say, such as ultima online. this may be a average talk on a game such as UO:
Person1:wanna g ohunting some orcs?
Person1:*go hunting?

Not sure how robots or cows got into this discussion, but come on!!!.... you never heard of these words?? They are pretty common, you know.

Oh, and get used to the second of the two. You'll probably be hearing a lot of it in the near future.

I'm surprised he hasn't heard the first a lot in the past.

In games such as that, a lot of people have the idea that if they dont type an answer within half a second all will be lost. This is typical in MUDs/MMORPGs and the like. I have done that a fair bit myself, but only when I have been pressed for time, and im getting better at typing er...properly(I hope).

Just my opinion anyways,

Actually, I like AOL. I use it a lot. As to stupidity, I could probably kill you in an essay contest on a whim.

Good day.

My primary e-mail address is on AOL, and has been for years now. The term "AOLer" refers not to people who use AOL, but to the type of losers who bother to type garbage like "u R kewl d000dz!!!!1!1!!". It's the style, not the ISP. As I understand it, the term's origins come from the fact that so many of those idiots populate various chat rooms all over AOL. (I actually learned chat etiquette in an AOL chat room, but it was a game room--a very different atmosphere from most AOL chats--where we didn't take kindly to scrollers, or those morons who like to ask "a/s/l".)

And it's just a hunch, but I'm guessing you're wrong about that essay contest. :)

was your name supposed to be spelled Saitin, or am I reading it wrong? Is it supposed to be pronounced Saitin, Shaytin, Shaatan, what?

My BYOND key is spelled "Shaitan" and is pronounced "shy-tan". It is from a really good book series and fits my role for a game that some friends and I are making.

I was not refering to spelling like that, that is completly understandable, it is when folks start using "u" (you), "r"(are), "4"(for), and that stuff that it really annoys me.

That kind of typing just reflects lazyness in my opinion. Usually they ask code problems that way, if why should I put out the effort to help them, if they can't put out the effort to write their questions properly?

hmm...no wait..... no no......yup, I cant read that. this is what I see from your typing:

you are mentioning something about 2 tipes (whatever a tipe is escapes my mind) in which people choose for some reason unmentioned. then says Tt I's Just Shortur (must be a name for someone, Justin Shortur I geuss) and something to do with you accidently typing e z instead of to doo (I take that doo as a style of hair), then goes on about you offense or offending your critiscim and other people are tipping over two inches or feet or somthing and a butt realizing something (hey dont ask me) that has to do with a dum.

a very odd paragraph indeed.
