I was going through some old bookmarks, and discovered I have about $40 sitting in a pay to surf program I had forgotten about. I will (hopefully) be getting a paypal payment shortly, and was wanting to buy some ByondDimes and the blue book with it. Any chance this is a possibility in the future?

We can certainly look into it! I was under the impression that you could just "cash out" of a PayPal account, but I guess that isn't right, no?

Can someone educate me a bit on the PayPal process? I believe that the main use of it for businesses is to be able to accept money from consumers without having to process credit-cards. However, since we do process cards ourselves, I didn't think it was necessary to support this. Don't you need to use a credit-card (or checks or money-orders-- all accepted by Dantom) to fill your Paypal account in the first place?

[Edit] Or is it that people have existing PayPal money due to other "barter" transactions (eg- through eBay)? Ah, I can see how supporting that might be useful in such a case.

Makes enough sense to me. I'll look into it.

That's the deal...people have already opened and are using PayPal accounts for online auctions, so they are more likely to pay into BYOND if they know they don't have to do any extra work to do it.

This is my reason, I just sort of found some money from about a year or so ago. There are also people who just don't like to to use credit cards on the web at every place they want to buy things. This way, you use your card once, then pay with paypal from there. Its also instantaneous, as opposed to checks and money orders, giving people less time to talk themselves out of spending the money. :)
