I think there's a Springfield in Connecticut... Kentucky? Kenecticutty? Eck, I forget.

One of the two.

Isn't there a Springfield in Illinois?

I have a feeling that most states have their own Springfield...

I know that there's a Norwalk here in Ohio (my town)...one in Connecticut (my town's namesake)...and I think there's one in California...

It seems that ye olde towne founders weren't so original...lol

Or, there was some guy selling books on "What to name your town" and the founders all thought those names were cool.
In response to Nadrew
Kind of like those Baby Name books? lol

Only there weren't as many choices to pick from back then... So they were stuck with either using a direct copy of another town or naming their town "New (Blank)" or "East (blank)"

lol

[Edit]: Which reminds me... Does anyone here have a local paper that prints Dave Barry's weekly syndicated humor column? (the man is a comic genius)

This week's was all about North Dakota and how they wanted to drop the "North" from their name because it made them sound like the state was too cold for tourists to visit...lol

I go to school at Digipen(www.digipen.edu). It's owned by Nintendo and it's connected to the Nintendo building. But my worthless keycard only works on the doors to rooms where I have class and only during school hours :P. But I still gotta try going over to the Microsoft building and get tech support :).

I do miss Jungle Larry's, though... But Power Tower is such a damned good ride that I don't mind that it took over that piece of land...

Yeah, I agree it's a good ride! Most of 'em are, except that one with the awful red-yellow-purple color scheme (Mantis?) that bashes your head around. Maybe they could soften the pads, and what would really be nice is if they cleaned the hair spray/grease/lice off the pads once in a while. (Maybe they've already made that change, though... it's been a year or two since I went.)

In response to Gughunter
No... Mantis is still a headache/headlice case waiting to happen... It's a neat concept...but the ride is just to uncomfortable to enjoy it... And not to mention that you've got to get that bicycle seat at JUST the right height before they take off or you'll be sorry for the whole ride...lol

So I definitely agree with you on this one... The Mantis is not one of my favorite rides... Although I do ride it at least once a year (I'm a completist...lol)
