Which is the point. "Fledermaus" is german for "bat" (literally, "flying mouse", I believe). "Die Fledermaus" is also the name of an opera.

If I'm not mistaken, they changed the name of Die Fledermaus in the non-cartoon Tick. Probably because no one would understand the reference.

Hmmm... so it is... I was mistakenly informed by my supposedly german-speaking comrade that it translated to field mouse...

Yes, we knew about the play, we just didn't think anyone else would, so we didn't mention it... go figure...

One of these days maybe, but don't hold your breath. My "quick and easy" project is almost 4 months old and not ready for a full release yet. The core was easy, polishing it is hard. I imagine any serious projects I work on will be much, much longer.

If anyone wants to pay my living, I'll gladly design any game they want full time! :)

When it comes to searching the Internet, not really! In fact, it's my browser's default start page at work. But at home, the default start page is... well, it rhymes with "respond". Or more thematically, "respawned".
