I'm puzzled?
I redownloaded Byond 306 and after installing it worked until I shut my system down, and reported. This computer used to have no problem downloading Tutorials, Demos, Libs, or play Games. Now when Dream Seeker comes up it only only has the TEXT/BROWSER tabs, and the follow text for everything. Any clue what happen? How to correct it?

Welcome BYOND! (Dream Seeker release 306)
Connecting to file://C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\I1HRY2FV\url3820067987[1].dms.
Connection closed.

This happens when you boot up DS just by itself? It looks like it is trying to connect to a game (those temporary files are auto-generated by the hub page). Unless your 'default.dms' file got corrupted somehow, I can't see how this would be happening independent on its own. Can you provide more details?

I just downloaded byond and it didn't work. But my friend Krazzle told me his was working fine. I dunno, maybe the download is corrupt, I just know mine DS doesn't work at all and says the hub is down.

This is what it says :

BYOND Hub : connection failed.
Your network connection is not working or the hub server is down. You will not be able to login over the network at this time.

hmm.... any suggestions?
Umm... I still haven't gotten the Dream Seeker to work. Anyone have a clue as to what the problem is?

The hub was down for a few minutes while I scrambled around to fix a problem. Sorry about that folks.

hehe, for me it's been down for a couple of days and is still down. I dunno what's wrong. I just re-installed byond on Win XP not to long ago.

This is a network configuration problem, not a problem with Dream Seeker. Either you are behind a firewall that restricts your access to the outside, or there is a faulty router in your network.

Try this: telnet:dantom.com:6001. That's the same port the hub uses for communication with Dream Seeker. If you are indeed able to connect to it, you should see a bunch of garbage characters as soon as it connects. Otherwise, it might just sit there for a long time or display some firewall message or something.

Let us know what happens.

hmm... yea, firewall, but it's funny. I had ZoneLab(firewall program) off, and it wouldn't let me access anything on byond until i turned zonelab back on. Damn program, no wonder why my dad told me to keep it on. Sorry for fuss and thinks for the help.
