Well I'm back online now, but I have AT&T's Cable modem access to the net now. For so reason I can not host or run any games from my system. Is there anything I need to set up and do different than from dialup?

Pager Trouble
So what can you do about this problem? If you have control over the firewall or router that is causing the trouble, then chances are you can get it to work. Otherwise, it may depend on your ISP's willingness to accommodate you. ACCOMMODATE ME? Ok.. In what way should my ISP accommodate me if I'm using DHCP on Cable modem? Do I need to request for a port from them? Is my only choice to request a static IP? Is there anything else I can do? Why would my Dialup work and now that I'm on cable modem it doesn't? Anyone else out there that has AT&T Broadband Internet? And know the fix for this?? I can not host or play games now :( LJR |
OK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is to all the people who use any of the Windowz and has problems connecting or hosting their games! I downloaded the WinRoute Lite 4.1 software today and was able to both host and join games! It comes with all kinds of routing goodies, a NAT, and port configuration stuff. Only thing its a trial version, but it works. One way to solve all ur probs.. www.tinysoftware.com LJR |
