How about a forum request?

More than the option to search all forums at once, I'd really like the option choose which forums are shown to me. Or better yet, the option to remove threads from ever being seen by me. Then, if I don't like that thread on how much Foomer sucks, I can just click the "Ignore" button and I'll never have to worry about seeing that thread again. Or, if I don't happen to like the kind of conversations that are being held on the Babble forum, I could just click on the "Ignore Babble" button and the Babble forum would cease to appear on my forum index until I unignored it...

That'd be nice, if you can make it happen!

They still show up in the forum index under Last Post when applicable. They still take up screens worth of the individual forum index when they degenerate to rabid flame wars. I thought about suggesting this quite a while back but didn't want to upset Tom too much.

Hmm I think a check box is you want to subscribe so to say for the forum might work in the personal prefences. As default all the forums should be checked, unless later special interest forums are added.
