Does anyone on BYOND speak a fluent Language other than English?

I don't know why i'm asking this it just came to mind.

I speak a little Spanish from school and my sister-in-law (who is from Argentina) but i don't speak a lot.

I speak some Japanese. I'm by no means fluent, however. I used to have a roughly elementary-level vocabulary, but its kind of atrophied through disuse.

I'm supposed to be Mexican. So I guess I speak some spanish :P

I speak French now and then, but I'm not fluent, since I haven't actually tried immersion in a French environment yet -- which, as anyone should tell you, is the only way to truly learn a language.

Mais, je peux parler en français meilleur qu'un grand complément de la majorité de la population en Columbie-Britannique.

Wait, did I just switch to French there?

Nope, just random gibberish.

I too speak limited French... I did take it all the way through AP (5 whole years of the stuff)...

Unfortunately, I haven't really put it into enough use to retain the majority of my knowledge...or to refine my use of what knowledge I've retained...

And I really didn't apply myself all that much during my 5 years of the language...mostly took it to "pad the stats" so to speak...lol So I never really got that good at it to begin with...lol

I also haven't immersed myself into a totally French speaking environment...even though I spent a week in France itself on a French class trip...lol You'd be amazed at how easy it is to get by without really having to speak the language all that much...lol But that's being surrounded by fellow students, a teacher, and a native guide...lol If I'd had to make it on my own...I'm sure it would have been a different story...

One thing that struck me, though...was how many French people went out of their way to try to speak English to us...lol

Funny story from my trip:

I was walking around the city of Tours when someone on the street asked me (in English) if I spoke English... I responded "Oui" without even thinking about it...lol And then quickly added "Yes, I do"... (I think what tipped them off was my San Francisco 49ers jacket)
i speak a pigilatin or some shit like that

Good question. Mine would be, how many people on BYOND can write fluently in any language, including English?
