Who says I don't have any experience? I know perfectly well how to use a machete from many years of demolishing blackberry bushes and another unwanted growths in the backyard. However, that doesn't mean it isn't more reasonable still to run away. I mean, suppose I did win in a knife fight, I'd still have the police to deal with.

I beg to differ... I'm a "DBZer"...and just Friday I was in the middle of a large crowd of punk rock fans taking a LOT of physical abuse... But I came out of it just fine...
