oddly enough a black hole has no color(meaning light reflecting) and not color(color obserbed) but yet it sucks in all light. Kinda odd.

I've got absolutely no patience for the whole "it just looks [color]" thing, often applied to space, the sky, snow, the color of polar mammals' fur, and a few other things. In everyday usage I agree with you, but I have the impression that game artists do occasionally need to understand this distinction, as it can change their approach to accomplishing certain techniques. |

There isn't a site. Blender's creators went brankrupt recently. You'll just have to search around until you find somewhere else to download it.
Try http://www.blender3d.com and http://www.elysiun.com for starters. |

Heh, that's where I was for the first three weeks after downloading it. I finally got around to looking at some tutorials and discovered this wonderful thing about how you can twist shapes around and etrude them. Now it's easy! Ah young one.. you have learned the ways of the Extruder, very powerful indeed! :) Once you can start forming and creating your own meshes from scratch and you'll be at my level! :) Yound Jedi Blender!!! Use the Blender, Foomster! LJR |

Realize it or not, those ARE my own meshes from scratch.

If thats the case then yeah! pretty nifty work. But if you can make organics I'll team up with you for a project! ;) And not a BYOND thing, something more like a 3D animation Studio.
I want to make a 3D Motion Picture but I need a team of people for all the props and items it takes to create. On and off I've been creating items, buildings, various props, for an Ancient Egyptian 3D animation, but I've yet to break 500 items which is just what I need for the 1st few opening scenes shots. Oh yeah for those of you getting into 3D and such, check this project I found in my last copy of WIRED mag. http://www.rustboy.com Pixar offer this guy a job but he turned them down. Can't wait till he finishes it. LJR |
I was really hoping that it was actually a blender, like maybe you put some small furry animal in a blender or something...oh well.

That's because I don't feel the need to talk about every detail of how I created the models. My post was, after all, to show them off, not to explain how they were done.
PS, get over the "you'll be as good as me when..." crap. |

For example, imagine if the top half of a map were a large mother ship done in Blender, which you manuever your little ship (which might be some normal 1 tile drawing) into... |

Yeah, the worst part is where the 100k mesh file gets squished down into a 15x15 pixel image because it's one of my starfinder (fighter) class starships, meaning it's small :oP Hopefully I'll be able to setup some ships that work with the pixel_x/y stuff already.
Nothing like having 160x160 motherships floating around pixel by pixel to add to the coolness factor... I get to use my nifty auto-overlay-adder proc too. Fun! Which reminds me, I need to submit that to Spuzzum's snippet archive... |
