Then i got people Bitching for "GM" well shove it.

All I can say is this-If you are going to let them win, it is giving them satisfaction. If you want to leave this community just because of a few random things, go ahead. But it isn't a very good reason for leaving. As for your language, you should refrain from using that kind of language. Yes, others have sworn, but they do not on the forums. If you do go, I hate to see you leave, but good-bye.

i am from oregon! oregon is pretty much not associated with the USA...most people in the USA actually have no idea where oregon is (people in florida)...and i dont think high of my country, in fact the US is full of nationalist people who all they want to do is bomb afghanistan....jeez, you should be banished to quebec for all eternity

People like to threaten and say things in an effort to make you think more of them that is reasonable. It's probably based on some despirate attempt to gain attention and respect. Sometimes it works, especially around people who don't know better.
Common sense would say that if you're going to be a debatable figure (that is, some like, some hate you), it would be a good idea to keep any personal things out of reach from people who would abuse it. That means avoid letting anyone (even close BYOND buddies) know about personal e-mail addresses, websites, home address, etc... Then you won't have such a problem. In my humble opinion, if someone hacked my BYOND e-mail address, it wouldn't matter much because it's just BYOND stuff, nothing important to me. If someone hacked my regular e-mail address, I'd probably track em down and sue them or something. A nice little feature to code into your games would be a mute command. This lets you force other players into silence when you're sick of hearing them. Aside from that, you could also try some ignore commands, which filter out messages from people who are on your ignore list. Move your pager into private mode and restrict the number of people on there to the number of people you WANT to talk to. If people keep paging you after that, make a new key and only let the people you want to talk to know about it. If you want my real advice, aside from leaving BYOND, you could vanish for a while and come back as someone totally new. Withdraw any dimes you've made and come back as someone no one's ever heard of. Avoid the crowd that's causing you problems, and make a new start. Oh yeah, and watch your language. ;o) | |
