People? Your question overestimates my social life... possibly with emphasis on the 'mate'. ;)

My desire to spin one heck of a yarn, and my affection for many of the members of the BYOND community*, provides more than enough inspiration for me. Dan and Tom played minor influences in making me want to succeed, as did Deadron, Gughunter, and Zilal. I look up to Lummox JR's coding abilities (and ability to wield words as weapons), and I look up to Lexy's intelligence, esteem, and creativity. (Foomer also acts as a rubber wall to bounce ideas off of, but we haven't chatted in a bit. =) ) * By "affection", I mean "appreciation", since I'm not attracted to any of the people here (no offense to anyone ;-) ). However, appreciation isn't the best word to use, since "appreciation" seems to be more of a description of my opinions of their work. My enjoyment comes more from my opinions of the persons themselves -- their senses of humour, their creativity, their linguistic competency, etc. -- hence, affection. |

You mean I don't inspire you?
"Finish it." "Show me your game." "Are you working on it?" "Damn it, man, get to work!" ;) |
No one inspired me. I just downloaded BYOND because it's an easy way to build whatever I want. In other words, it keeps me from learning C++.

I thought you said I could be a super model?! Damnit Spuzzum! I'm going to walk to Canada, knock on your door, eat your Canadian food, piss on your toilet seat, and walk my ass back here, JUST becuase of what you just said.

(Foomer also acts as a rubber wall to bounce ideas off of, but we haven't chatted in a bit. =) ) Maybe I should just leave Dreamseeker running in the background so people can page me whether I'm there or not. Whenever I actually spot something on the hub worth actually clicking on, no one is ever on my pager. Whether that has to do with there being only around 8 people on my pager, I don't know. Usually, the game turns out to be a waste of time and I turn Dreamseeker off again. I'm also incapable of hosting anything, so I'm never online for that. Now, if Dan and Tom would finally get rid of that morbid object limit, I'd be inclined to work on FoomerMUD some more (even though I can't host it) since I wouldn't have the fear of reaching the object limit just as I've done with practically every other game I've ever made save Ensya. It's hindering my creativity Dantom! Kill it! |

Shadowdarke..... I was a "l337" "Mah f00" (remember that Shadow :P) but Shadow straightened me out. Gave me COMMENTED code snippets to shut me the hell up =P And taught me shiznits. And no shadow, you will never stop me from saying that word...shiznits shiznits shiznits!!!

Granted, there are ways to work around list limits by making your code only allocate memory when it's needed, but it's a hassle. There aren't as many ways to work around object limits, especially if it's necessary to have more objects, though. (BfS could really use arbitrarily-sized icons... =D) |
I get a lot of inspiration for my projects, from a lot of different people. Some are 'forum-goers', and some are not. Here's a list of people that my BYOND experience would not have been the same without:
ChocoboSage Greener Pastures "The old Foomer"* Darkness FIREking Nadrew Sariat** Lexy*** I'd like to thank everybody above for being around and being cool! -LoW *Foomer used to be really laid back and cool. Then Ashianna left. :-P **Sariat is great to bounce ideas off of, and SHB rules! ***Lexy put me in my place right away. It's a long story as to why I wasn't in my place to begin with, but Lexy is an awesome presence around here. |
Once again, I didn't know the question...LOL
The people who I bounce ideas off of are ---------- Lord of Water Mertek and the used to be Dracimor :P |
What exactly do you mean by "entertained" ?
Oh, and I'm not inspired by many people on BYOND other than myself.
