Has anyone all of a sudden like 5 years after u stop having that nightmare it comes back..Well do to it i cant sleep so lets party
Since I was very young, I have had nightmares about being the only person in a car out of control. I'm usually more worried about avoiding damaging someone/something than getting injured.

I have not had those nightmares in a while though... Maybe that's because of a later dream where I had passengers and decided to aim for things.

LMAO
Ive had a recuring nightmare since i was 3. It stopped at about 7 and then came back when i was 11. 15 now. The dream is my family is floating away on a boat without me and theres sharks in the water, and somehow my feet are in the water. you know how hard it is to be 3 and watch your family float away? lol, its not bad anymore havent had it in a few years.

I used to have a dream where my brother who couldn't drive and still can't was driving a car through the schoolground and I was in the backseat. It was pretty out of control. Then, out of nowhere, he disappeared and I had to take the controls, but the steering wheel wasn't there! :) That one's stopped now.

Another old dream that used to scare the bejesus out of me was that my house was infested with monsters. Every time I'd run out on the back porch where Dracula would greet me and be sucking the blood of my neighbour. Then I'd run to the side of my house on the driveway where a giant would be waiting for me. He lived in a big hole in the side of my house.

I have some weird dreams :)

=V
Hah, speaking of dreams I guess I have lots to say about it. Well, while most dreams I have heard of are nightmares, some are actually VERY real, yet just a dream. One particular one which my aunt had was almost like being there, she had all 5 senses. I myself have found dreams a rather interesting subject. Sometimes I have dreams that I am pretty sure was ment to scare me, but once I had the best dream ever. I dreamt that it was a very futuristic world with flying cars, but it was so polluted that the sky was like a rust orange and smog covered a little to where people lived in HUGE towers that are connected with one another with walkways to get around. I was around the age of 18-20 and worked at one of my favorite places, Electronics Boutique (EB) and there was this itty bitty walkway about this size of a foot wide or less with no wall/fence aroudn the edge. Later in the dream, since I am deathly afraid of heights, I had my arms and legs wrapped around that little platform and people looked at me funny vecause they could easily walk across that. It was a rather fun dream because I had a cool job. On a differant subject I read that dreams, if you understand them, can basicly predict your day. It is hard to predict because unless you right it down and see what you dreamed when the day is over, you usually forget, and the fact that it is kinda like a puzzle to figure out. There was one simple little incantion that I found which allows you to remember any dream you have that night in the morning for a small amount of time. I used it about twice and found in both times (and a extra day after I said it the first) worked, but I forgot later because I just wanted to see if it worked. Also, on another subject about dreams, some could probably recall what your ancestors saw or did or their fears even. After all, when you are born you gain the survival skills from your mother and father (about half from each) which could also explain why some have many fears (their ancestors learned well...). Well, that's about it for now

The oldest dream I can remember was when I was in kindegarden (However you spell it) I am in 10 now so thats pretty old. I can't remember if it was day or not, butI was in my house, and I can just remember seeing lights going on and off, and my family dead on the ground and there was a werewolf in my house, and I ran down the hall while it was chasing me, and got behind the recliner. I am pretty sure I woke up before he came around the corner lol, becuase I dont remember any thing else. I have nightmares more then normal dreams I think. Has anyone noticed in a nightmare when your in a life/death situation right before you die you wake up? lol. I heard that if you actually die in your dream you die in your sleep, but I can't say if thats true or not, becuase I don't recall dieing at all in my dreams, I usually wake up right before it happens.

wow, I'm glad I have lossed about .5 of my sleeptime and spend more time awake. Don't have to have the horrible dreams I used to get. actually rarely I ever get one. my latest whic wasn't too long ago involved me going to the airport with my grandma. But before that it showed some military people and stuff at the airport preparing a bomb or something and had a guy like Bond (as in style and proffession) which infiltrated it and talked to some people (couldn't hear them though) then went to me where I got aboard a weird tram with about 10 other people. My grandma couldn't get in and about 50 other people were running to get to the airplane (large castle-like airport). whie it was driving along the outside (where it was supposed to go) some people get out and start running in another direction. Someone in the tram says "hmm, where are they going?" and I though "well, they're going the wrong way" when then the tram goes offroad and in the opposite direction of them and we notice that everyone else was going the other way. Everyone in the tram was wondering waht was going on. Then the tram stopped and we notice a trained squirrel which had driven it (couldn't see it since the driver seat blocked from seeing him and I think there was a specail steering wheel) and we all go out. There then are about 4 or 3 men and one or two women (think 2) in army camoflauge shirts and pants with berrets. One of the lady takes out a revolver and basicly plays russian roulette with it, she shoots one person before she shoots herself in that game. just about all that short time I was saying "Don't kill me!", couldn't think of anything else to say and didn't have access to any weaponry. Then the rest takes out knives. One person gets a knife thrown into their chest and one of use takes the knife out and I am hiding-ish a little. They could see me but knew I was no threat... well, without a gun anyway. So ti fastforwards to where theres me and the guy who's a little heavy but not enough that would slow him down against two other military-dressed guys. One throws their knife at him but he dodges and kills him with his knife then faces the other person. They start fighting and the other person is on the ground with his hand still clutched to his knife and my team mate behind him trying to hold him down long enough to kill him or interrogate him. I take the chance and (since he was near me) grab the knife and slowly start wedging it out of his hand while he is trying to pull it back. Then before the dream ended I saw a chainsaw surrouwnded by blackness. I am pretty sure I didn't die and he didn't have any other weapon and that was the last guy, along with my team mate holding him down. There is one thing I did regret, since I wasn't it control I couldn't have snuck to the one lady's dead body, stole some bullets and the revolver from her and then try to run off a little bit, surround myself with a little hay they was around me to hide myself and try shooting them.

aother old dream that used to scare the bejesus out of me was that my house was infested with monsters. If you are one of the lucky people who are actually in charge of your dreams, try to get to where your dad keeps his gun and get the silver tipped bullets along in the same spot along with regular bullets. My dad showed my where his was incase anything happens. He knows I can't use it anyways since he let me try loading it (knew how to insert the bullets, just couldn't do what was after it to get the clip/bullets ready to fire). And we do have silver tipped bullets for it that mushroom out when they hit.

I have some weird dreams :)

ditto.

I think that you actually can die in a dream. It's kinda hard to explain though, so I'll simplify it. You see, think of the matrix. There's a real world and a dream world. if your die in the dream world you die in the real world because basicly your brain get's lost in the dream world. Your body also has the ability to wake you up before you die so you will stay alive would make sense of course.

Well, I remember that I once had a dream where I was in Star Wars riding a hover thing and was shot down, but I didn't die in real life. Then again, amybe it was because it was video-game like.

Ive had a futuristic dream once.

around the age of 28 (im 21 now) A metallic pyramid as a central area. The sky was polluted. but there was some kind of clear barriers allowing wind to pass, but not pollution people who broke the law were detained by having the sector quarantined and air blocked off. The purpose was solely to stun , not to kill.

I was part of an underground organization which was against the dictatorship that contolled that city. I awoke before that dream could go anywhere.

I didnt see any flying cars but we will be in 3 years. look up

Moller Skycar on a search engine.

My worst nightmare was when everything went really dark, and i heard footsteps of what could only be considered a titan walking towards me from the horizon. able only to hear it kept getting louder until no physical ears could possibly perceive the loudness or pressure. and yet it still became louder.

I had that dream when I was 8 worst dream ive had to date.
Cuz i dont have nightmares, nightmares have me. :D

I've had some pretty crazy dreams also. Hmm..

Ok, my father is a trucker, and he drives a pretty decent sized semi (42' trailer). One time, late at night, the entire family was packed in our minivan (little blue dodge thing), and we were following an R&L truck down the highway. All of a sudden, some monsterous winds start whipping up, the van keeps sliding to the edge of the road, and we are actually driving like this \ down the road. The trailer doesn't like this much, and it drives through some weird wind funnel, and the trailer bounces up into the air to the right, lands back in the center, bounces to the left, back to the center. The doors swung open, and giant van-sized balls of acid (think tumbleweed acid ;) come flying out of the trailer. We are doing 70 down the highway, and there are ball of giant green acid coming at us. My dad was driving like a maniac, and ended up over-correcting himself, then the van got smashed by a ball. The entire front end exploded, killing both my parents and my little sister, I was in the back, and somehow the hatch got popped, so I leaped out the back, tripped over the seat, and fell on my face. For some reason, my dream's vision got quite blurry here, probably my brain simulating some blood in my eyes or something stupid, but I stood up, looked towards the trailer, and there was one of my friendly acid balls, about 2 feet from my face.

I woke up.

So again, we are driving around, our family, in our small topaz. We are in the West Virgina mountains, driving to an aunt's house. My dad laughs loudly, then guns the gas on this skinny little road, he looks back at me, and his eyes are pure white. I scream, and we bust through one of the metal rails, and shoot off the side of the mountain, there is a huge, absolutely huge lake below us, and we cruise through the air a good, long way. I can see the beach only about 150 feet away, and then the car just plummets, hits the water, all the glass in the car shatters at once, and manage to pierce me in most of my vital organs.

I work up.

Now, I won't even go into my good dreams. They are not suitable for public transmission ;)

Well, I had a dream where I wanted to cry, but all that came out was an inhalation of air.

I know that to be false.

I have died many times in my dreams, which arent nightmares.

Electrocution/Gunshot/drowning/stabbings

It is those cases that my dreams do not change.. sometimes im back in darkness (my earliest memories are of nothingness like theres a void. not like i forgot, but just its not there anymore.

I usually wake up, but sometimes I just leap out of my body

You cant die in dreams. While the body exists your soul does aswell.. the soul cannot die, to simplify what a soul is, it is not your brain, in fact your brain is useless without the energy DRIVING IT.. the energy driving the brain is your soul. A dream can be inside your mind (the psyche) OR on separate planes of existance.

If you were to die in your dream. And you were to lose your way.. That is called a coma.. for example.. you are in a severe trauma. You believe that you died.. so you lost your body... Its still alive but you dont know that.. You in a dream world inside your psyche for months/years Until you find your way back..

Hypnotists/Wiccans/Spiritists(rare)

are people that could retreive lost souls.
Effectively awakening someone from a coma.

Every thought, every dream. Every nightmare humans/animals have create alternate realities. just because they may have no impact on this one doesnt mean they dont exist.

This all ties in with theories of mental illnesses and chemical related symptoms, when in fact the chemicals release (or lack there-of , are the symptoms of the illness and not the cause of it.

Science is right most of the time, but its far too simple. To understand things fully you must have an open mind to even skim the surface of all that exists.

For whatever reason things are. THEY ARE, and honestly thats all that matters.
In response to Branks
Yes. but those wouldnt be nightmares. I can break free of that slow mo crap.

One time i was sleeping in the living room of my old house

whether this is dream or not it doesnt matter.

I opened my eyes and everything was pitch black a grey was floating above me looking down talking to me telepathically saying that everything would be ok , blah blah blah let me poke you. I tried to move but couldnt.. I was putting its 3 fingered webbed hand over my body. and I wasnt about to tolerate that.. i balled up all my rage, focused. Dilated my pupils widely and kicked the bastard right in the head.. It went flying back like a rag doll stopped, floated backwards slowly disapearing into darkness like it were liquid. the darkness gave way to my ceiling, Its face disapeared past the stuco and my foot was still outstretched.

It was 7am, nobody was awake, so i crawled off the couch (where i used to sleep) turned the TV on, and played Skies of Arcadia

Dream or Not. I dont care. It was fun kicking that pasty white big eyed rapist
In response to Seige1010
Simply put people.

Everyone has the same types of dreams because they are ALL part of different planes of existances.. All part of one huge complete and total absolute consciousness which is all of us connected.

Call it god, call it whatever.

Its there, it exists as much as me or you.
