Well, truthfully I do not really know if I believe in God, or believe that he is real. I've only gone to church 3 times in my life. Once was when my Grandmother died. And the other 2 times was when I was little. Also, Some of the material in the Bible is just rediculus. Smetimes I also wonder why God doesn't stop all these wars in his name.

No. At one point I even tried believing but just couldn't. Mainly I dont see how there's one supreme person who lays out all the rules to where if we die we either go to the heavens or spend eternally in a firey pit of tormenting pain. It just doesn't add up for me. If he really made this place, he did a sloppy job because there is war, hunger, killing, ect. Of course many people would say "Oh, it's god's will" and such if about this and if their prayer's arn't answered, when really it's like a 50/50% thing. Another thing is why is he hiding himself and such, and why are there other religions and not just his? If he really is real I hope he add's a "universal suggestion box".

God is God, who knows if he/she/it is real or not, but i think he/she/it might be real coz ...well...i can't explain why lol ,but every one has a different story

i think you have a very good point, most people belive in god is because it says he/she/it is real in the bible, it also says that god is a he...but how can we prove that god is a he. ANYONE can be a god, even women , kids, and even animals.

god could of made the earth and every living thing on it, but no one know for sure , that god can control man kind, man kind contols them selfs , but god...cound easerly destroy mankind, if he/she/it is real.

In the middle ages Christians came up with the name "Jehovah" for God, by taking the consonants from Yahweh (J and Y are interchangable in old alphabets) and combining them with them the vowels of "adonay" (sp?). Adonay means "lord" in hebrew. this is one of Gods several 'official' names mentioned in the hebrew old testement. The number of God's official names (Jehovah is not one of them) is symbolic, but i forget what that number is and what the other names are.
