Well, I will try to make this short.
When I began to use Byond, I told to atleast 7 friends about Byond. They are playing some games now and 3 or 4 of them are making games.
The point is that not all of them are skilled in Programing and English language. So, I want to make a translation of Byond's Help.
If the creators wants to has my help on translating the help, then contact me at : [email protected]
Now, in Chile, we have at least 10 guys playing on Byond...dont let them alone.

I think it is good that someone is taking a productive interest in translating the help files into other languages - certainly this effort should not go un-supported, eh, DanTom?
One problem in including multiple language files may be that BYOND is not set-up to just swap languages (although I could be wrong). Regardless of how BYOND deals with help files, you could provide the Spanish-translation as a download on the HUB for your friends and other spanish speaking BYONDers to view... Good Luck! --- Sariat, that was one of the most useless and unproductive post I have seen to-date from you. If you got nothing good to say but sarcastic comments (especailly ones that are unrelated to the post - what the [bleep] does you getting a game have anything to do with this post???), then please keep them in babble, or better yet say nothing at all... You may not realize this, but you are starting to really piss people off with this behavior... |

Oh yeah, and another thing, Seryu Speaks "Spanish"(Spain Spanish) and I speak "Spanglish" (Tex-Mex)
And you speak "Spanish" from Chile. They're all going to be somewhat different Oo |

And Sariat: I'm on your back because you posted a complaint to a guy's request for input.
And you cannot tell me that you posting about some Spanish games that was really a virus has anything to do with Hittokiri's request to make a Spanish-translation of the Help files! |

First of all, that word was not Back ;) Second of all, there was a BTW That means By the Way! It doesn't mean that its the direct topic, its just a side note. |

Aww, let it go mouse. I remember the 'spanish BYOND campaign' too. Sariat and another guy. They even had a sweet website with lots of flash and all, and they were gung-ho for a spanish side of BYOND with translation and games. I'd love to see something like that... maybe Dantom could get a copy of Dictionary.com's website translating CGI and install it into this site's CGI: you could roughly translate BYOND into almost any language!

No! No! No! (stomps up-and-down) I will not drop it! I will not... hey! did you say Penguins?
|
I could do that in a couple minuites. My dad programmed a universal translator that you can type anything in or make it a plugin to something like MSN messenger and it can translate spanish, english, french, ortugean, italian, dutch, and my own intsallment Gibberish! (Which is an actually intelligible lamguage). SO I would just copy the help file in and it would spit it out I would then put the new file back in translating to english to see if there were any translation problems and fix them.

If you want to do that...do it.
But how can a Computer think in a particular language? how can think about tildes, and some complicated forms of the spanish language? I learned english just 6 months ago, playing some games and trying to code on byond...but spanish has more words than english and different forms. Example: when you use "THE" we use El, La, Los o Las. 4 words for just one in english. This is a lil example. Hitto. |
BTW: He was supposedly going to give me his game "Solace", the first Spanish BYOND RPG, but he sent me a Virus. Stupid ass.
