What was probably your favorite scene from either of the movies? I havn't seen Aliens in a while to remember, but I have been fanaticing(Is that a word?) over Predator. Favorite scene from Predator was when Jesse Ventura got blasted through the back all the way out of the other end of his body, revealing a 1 foot wide, 2 foot tall hole. In Predator 2 I would have to say when the Predator bladed all the guys in the meat locker, disguisting yet entertaining. Now the coolest weapon from the movies was the sensory blade, one fling of the blade while having heat vision mode on and all the people would see was a glow with two red lines following it, then their own body as their head would roll across the floor. It's still great to be in the game AvP 2 and to fling that blade, mwahahaha! It's also fun to take the remote detonater discs and to fling them into the ground, then uncloak and watch a bunch of marines come for you while you just get ready to set off the bombs(Oh can't forget the aliens who could see you while invis, but then see the marine group and smell a meal.), the downside is that the releast of the alien's acid blood can be a killer. Then if you get tired of heat seeking technology there is always an old fashioned cloaking and standing still so you become perfectly invisible, then simply waiting for an unsuspecting marine to run by only to find out by his surprise that his head made arrangement for a blind date with your spear tip. Oh, and last but not least there is always out-sniping the human sniper. Simple invisibility + distance = unable to be seen while a sniper from far away is killing xenomorphs left and right, predators can rest comfortably while invisible and zooming in on their unsuspecting target, then taking their head off with a spear shot and running over to the wall its attached to to collect their trophy(The head actually gets pinned to the wall). - How sick a person gets when it comes to FPS gaming -

What was probably your favorite scene from either of the movies? Don't know about my all-time favorite, but one of my very favorites is right at the beginning of Alien, after everyone has just emerged from the sleep chambers and they're on the bridge trying to contact Earth or at least figure out where they are. No action or one-liners, but it does a great deal to establish the isolation of the ship and the vast distance between it and Earth. |

I never knew preds could talk, I did know they could record voice messages. In Predator I remember when two of the soldiers were talking and the predator was listening in, he then recorded some of what they said, I think it was something like, "no problem", but am not quite sure. Anyways when he had just blown one of their brains across a log, and the other guy was looking for the guy whos brains were everywhere, then he heard the guys voice going, "No problem", it was a way of taunting I guess, to let them know that he's always watching them and always was.

I really need to see Aliens 1 and 2, I just saw Resurrection today and it seemed a bit disappointing, the only cool part was where the eggs were ignited in flames and the queen got really mad, in that part you get a better view of the queen herself. Eggs, gives me an idea for SpaceTug. Maybe different game modes that allow certain things? Like instead of starting out as a drone, maybe you can start out as a face hugger and have to face hug a crew mate, then that person has like 15 seconds to live before you become a chest burster, then you could go hide until you mutate into a drone? This could leave stuff open for like launching yourself into space if you have a chest burster in you, but you have to get to an airlock before its born.

Guy apparently wants SpaceTug to be true to the original Alien -- however, the semi-official sequel FaceHug, authored (and not being worked on) by yours truly, does have facehuggers, chestbursters, queens, and guns.
It's supposed to be reasonably true to Aliens, whereas you go down to Radley's Rope from the Lucaso. One player randomly gets assigned the "traitor" nomenclature -- he's the one that has to get a specimen (i.e. someone who got facehugged) and bring it back to the Haywood-Jablomi corporation. Everyone else has to rescue the few colonists that are left (there's only one ;-P), while getting shredded to bits by the xenomorphs (the new term for "critter" in FaceHug ;-) ). Facehugged people are encouraged to pretend that they weren't facehugged, but there are no in-game mechanisms that do that. If people want to spoil the fun, then don't play with them. |

Well if your ever at a lost for some ideas, just ask me. I am getting pumped with Aliens and Predator information. I am currently trying to figure out how to make an FPS with BYOND so I can make a Predator game. Name will be(hopefully if the game ever gets a basic engine) The Hunt, nothing really to do with Aliens, just a spawn off of AvP.
I'm probably gonna make it all jungle maps where there are 5 marines and 1 predator only(only 6 players to reduce possible lag by floods of people). Then the marines get 3 guns of their choice, the only problem is making automatic weapons.... The predator will get a plasma cannon, invisibility, wrist blades, and a spear gun. The Predator will also only have a heat view, so marines will be able to cover themselves in mud, making the predator rely on seeing movement. It's gonna be foggy too, so I don't have to deal too much with distances and to give marines a real jumpy feeling, I think what makes a good FPS game is the jump facter, whats more exciting, killing people left and right, or being stalked slowly by a nearly invisble enemy. Then there will always be the taunting like the Predators sinister laugh, or the marines yelling. Of course taunts will only be able to be used once every like 10 minutes(don't want someone to spam taunts, thats lag city). Mapping will also be a problem, but thats for the future. The first thing I'm gonna make probably is a stick figure FPS on just one large field type map, allowing 8 people on at a time, then maybe I'll release the engine for the public to use. <<>>Kusanagi<<>> |

If you really looked behind you it would be a marshmellow with a sign saying, "No.". We can riot when he brings it up, then takes it down 5 minutes later because of a major bug =/, then he immediately gives up and no Aliens game for any of us, except SpaceTug of course, but whats the fun if there isn't any embryo implanting spider-like facehuggers.

And in the predator i like how the alien tells him off, i forget which one it was
