I am considering attempting to make a single-player arcade-type shooter that is military-themed. I am taking ideas. There are quite a few things I want, but I'll take care of the basic code, map, and target creation. I probably would want the Click() proc for shooting, but also that moving your mouse around toggles your view. Like, for example, your view would be slightly off on square 5. Of course, the map center would center the view. This is my first attempt like this. I might drop the view-panning idea and focus on programming Click(). Plus, I need to know what del() command to use to delete the clicked object. Another thing would be that the spawner would create targets that travel towards a turf named End. If a target slips past the player and escapes, the player loses a point. If he hits, he gains a point. Any and all feedback (except flames) will be appreciated.
one word: Contra
One question: What is this Contra? I assume it's a game. But, who said it would be a clone?

Contra's an old NES game. They made new versions for SNES, PSX and what-not, but in my opinion, they're a shadow to the original.

Well, that doesn't look like what I had in mind more like a target practicing simulation.

It's a sidescrolling shooter where you blast away ate everything in sight, don't let it live if it moves.

There are like what, seven weapons? A bunch of powerups, all kinds of sweet stuff, there are big bosses, you can fire up, down, straight, diagonal, it's not too bad of a game for such an old game.
