your just saying you hate it because of the nintendo brand games. nothing about its gfx quality its loading time or anything...you havent played any games and yet they dont interest you...

I have named more reasons than just the games that Nintendo makes. If you read my posts you would have seen that. How do you know I've never played the games. Many of my friends have GameCubes. I don't like the GameCube's games as much as I prefer the games of other systems.

and you hate the console because of the portable...what came from that?

No, I don't support Nintendo because they fired the person (genius) that made the best-selling portable system of all time.

your just saying because nintendo doesnt make enough games for their console. what about sony? i dont see many games made by sony except everquest...does that mean i should hate sony? and say they have bad choices?

Nintendo makes good games, but they stopped making them to make Pokemon games. While the Pokemon games might have been great games, they didn't appeal to me.

All you have done is attempt to shoot down my reasons, some of which you don't even understand. Until you can give me some good reasons why I should fall in love with Nintendo, I don't car what you have to say.

i could care less what you think but your saying you hate nintendo therefore you dont support them because of stupid reasons thats the only part i dont like :)

I don't hate Nintendo. I don't support them anymore. I used to, but they made (in my opinion) some very dumb moves. They aren't stupid reasons, you are just completely missing my points. I'd like to know why you think Nintendo is so great, if you have reasons that is.
My suggestion would be an X-box because there is a project to use it as a Linux machine for router and webserver use. When you get tired of playing games on it, instead of selling it, you can set it up as a BYOND game host!

1 Reason Pokemon another reason someone who made a portable that has nothing to do with the console. another...lack of games with nintendo chars...i can say i like it because its easy to move/transport controller is easy to handle... great gfx and frame rate not the biggest selection of games but the ones they have are good. super smash bros melee. its cheap (price) and because i can buy a screen and battery pack like the ps1 to play it on the go.

True, but its still the same morons, er, company. I guess you don't understand the importance of the success of the Gameboy. But it would be quite useless for me to explain.

The XBox might have the graphical advantage over the GameCube, I'm not too sure. You like what system you like, and I like what I like. I have good reasons for buying what systems I buy. I'm sure you love the controller and the games and everything about the GameCube. I prefer to have a wide variety of good games than a few really good games. You might rather have a few great games, in which case Nintendo is probably the best bet. How could you say that my reasons were "stupid" if those are all the reasons you could think of?
Get a ps2 or a gamecube the ps2 has the best games so far and the gamecube will have a ton of awesome games all the xbox is is a stupid tv port of a computer.

Intelligent commentary. You astound me with your intellect and obvious lack of bias.

Indeed, the Gamecube's graphics do rival the Xbox. No argument there. I am just more impressed with the box's graphics. Loading times are indeed very short. Metroid Prime is indeed going to rock, along with the new Zelda, from what I have seen so far. I wasn't impressed with Mario Sunshine. If they were going to re-do all of the Resident Evil games, like they did with the first one, it would completely rock.

The xbox is the same price as the PS2, $200 in the US. As far as the game coming out with the expensive controller, what do you expect? They can't provide a controller that big without a big price increase. Solution: don't buy that particular game. Though I probably won't buy it because of the price, I commend Microsoft for allowing such freedom in Xbox game design. As for games coming out, there are plenty: Splinter Cell, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Unreal Championship, Fable (Project Ego), Halo, Shemnue 2. Those are just off of the top of my head.

As far as Playstation goes, it is already online. Have you played SOCOM? There are people actually cheating the broadband-only restriction and playing it with 56k modems. I also believe it has more than 1.5 years left.
Ah yes, I am mostly looking for Sports and Action/Adventure games

Is GTA not on anything but PS2?
In response to OneFishDown
cause you do have stupid reasons :)
In response to Sariat
Yes, Sony bought out the GTA franchise until 2004, making it Playstation exclusive until at least then. Smart move, considering that it is the bestselling game they have had to date.
In response to Thrakkiss
GTA (the original) was almost released on the Nintendo64, that was until Sony bought its rights.
In response to Nadrew
GTA3 was originally planned for xbox, too. :)
In response to Thrakkiss
Vice City was planned for the PS3, but Sony fell behind, thus making the game lack a lot of what was originally planned.

  • Good Graphics

X-Box has good graphics, and second is Gamecube.
  • Reliability

  • I dropped my Gamecube down the stairs last week and it still works..
  • Online Capibility (or upcoming online capibility)

  • All of them, PS2 has it currently, and X-Box and Gamecube will soon.
  • Good games

  • Gamecube has the good games, but lacks amount, same with X-Box, PS2 has more "good" games, because its had more time to grow.
  • Nice controls

  • The PS2 controls are made to fit your hand, and they're small, and easy to use.
  • It won't be replaced by it's owner within the next 2 years. (As in, a PS3 comes out 1 year after I get a PS2 or something)

  • Not until around 2005-2006, PS3 was supposed to be next year until Sony put it on the back burner to work on the PS2 more. Gamecube WILL NOT be Nintendo's last console, they're planning a new console, but a release isn't estimated.
In response to Nadrew
X-box does have controllers to fit your hand.I bought one.The downside is it is extra(as in does not come with it) and they have toddler controllers out now.
Gamecubes are just wierd.
Personally i love my gamecube that i bought at the beginning of last year. The game that has shown the most promise is animal crossing. It is by far the most entertaining game that i have ever played. It is like The Sims for the PS2 but much much much much better. Mario sunshine isnt as groundbraking as Super Mario 64 but it is still a great game and is very challenging. As i see it the game cube can only get better while the X box is already showing signs of weakness.

The box was showing signs of weakness this summer. Now it is showing anything but.
