In recent reviews I have seen some screen shots from the new Zelda game. They have given Link a new persona. And to tell you the truth I don't like it, Nintendo has taken a more cartoon looking approach, I say stick with the RP look!

Im going to go to japan and find the makers and give them all a good slap! Thats not right, they ruined the name of Zelda! The shame...
|
I think the Zelda games have always been a little cartoonish. Zelda 64 (which I didn't like very much) was really childish-looking.. so the new one isn't really a surprise.

Cell-shading may not look too great, but I hear the gameplay is amazing, they're also remaking the N64 Zelda games for the GameCube (same graphics, new stuff).

I like cel-shading. Maybe it's just because I've never been a big fan of traditional 3D. I've always seen it as sort of a neat gimmick, but now that it's the standard for every game (and has been, for years), I'm pretty tired of it. Besides, cel-shading is neat-o!

Hey thats me... But really, i think zelda is not some little kid game and shouldnt have graphicsaimed at a 5 year old.
|
No zelda 64 was the best they could do at the time without suffering in game play, and it wasn't really childish, just low on colors.
|
I don't consider cartoonish-looking things to be designed for 5-year-olds. That's only your opinion.
If that were the case, it's a wonder the Simpsons ever became popular. |
The new Zelda will have to prove it's self to me before im convenced that it doesnt look kiddish and seem that way. Now if its anything like the N64 one, it will be ok in my book, but i will probibly never play it because i only know one man with a GameCube and he live about 1 hour away and will be grounded for like ever!
