I'm getting my first job at McDonald's. And I'm going to an interview tommorow.... Any tips on what I should and shouldn't do? And what are some of the questions they might ask me and what do I respond with?

-ST
Say, "I dance for quarters for a living now." and make a sad face.
Just don't call their food "McCrap".
Work at KFC, Ive got a friend who has worked at both and KFC is meant to rule over McDonalds.
For some reason I just cant picture you not yelling abuse at the little kids...

Don't pick your nose and wipe it on anything, only the assistant managers get that priveledge.
The ask you pretty strange wuestions like,...

  • Have you ever driven a bus full of children?
  • Have you ever worked at Wendy's? (Always answer NO)
  • Are you fluent in 2nd century Latin?
  • Is your liver infected?
  • Do you prefer USPS or UPS?
  • Have you ever run for presidnet of a foreign country?
  • Are you an international spy?
  • Do you currently have Russian people living in your basement?
  • Are you allergic to metal and/or wood?
  • Do you wear pants on a normal basis?

That's about all they ask you...

ROFL!
I got the job! All I had to do was mention about BYOND and how I make games and put them online, and that I have knowlodge as a computer programmer, and I got the job! Well, that won it for me. I start on Tuesday at 5:30.

Thank you BYOND, you helped me get my first job!

Congratulations! I had to get a job within about a month of turning 16 (I was a stockboy at a local supermarket -- white shirt, dark slacks, and a bright red apron). Though it ate up a lot of time in the evenings, it was a good experience, all in all. But later, when I'd come home from college for a weekend, I never wanted to shop at that store... Anyway, good luck!

I got and have a job at 15 :). I'm a lifeguard it's cool and boring at the same time :-\

Yeah, programming gets you a job pretty easily these days, even when programming has nothing to do with what you're doing. I told my manager at work when I was being hired that I was a computer nut that makes games and I was hired without an interview. =P

Congrats...

Now that you're an employee of Mickey D's...just remember this following quote:

"I dunno which is worse... Actually trying for employee of the month at McDonald's, or never actually making it..."

lol

A lifeguard at 15? Are you strong enough to haul unconscious bodies from the water? I would think they'd only let people who are physically capable of doing this or something similar become a lifeguard...

But you may be strong enough... There's no way for me to tell...lol I just don't think that I was strong enough at 15 to drag a large amount of dead weight out of a pool or onto a beach...

I am 18 and still unemployed with no previous work expirence, thanks for making me feel better guys.

I'm 18 and still unemployed too. Maybe we should start some kind of support group together. =P

I hate McDonald's anyways.

LOL!!! I'll remember that one.

Really? Bodies (unconscious, dead, and/or living) are pretty buoyant things.
