Newbie of the Month!

Lummox JR suggested a great idea recently, and now we're going to get it in gear. For the foreseeable future, BYONDscape will be awarding a "Newbie of the Month" prize. What makes a Newbie of the Month? Glad you asked:

1) A Newbie of the Month takes time to read the information sources BYOND provides (the Reference, the Guide, the tutorials, and so on) before asking too many questions.

2) A Newbie of the Month is polite and patient, and respects the time and effort others expend in answering questions.

3) A Newbie of the Month writes questions clearly and provides whatever detail and background information is needed to help people understand the question.

Obviously, BYOND has a lot of great newbies coming in all the time, so a lot of deserving people will probably never win the award; please don't let that discourage you. Whether or not you win the award, being studious, civil, and articulate will pay off for you in the long run -- both in BYOND and in life!

That said, our December 2002 winner -- who wins a free 90-day subscription to BYONDscape -- is Hepitank. Congratulations!

Oh my gosh I can't believe it! Man, I'm actually blushing, but in a very manly way heh heh - so very unexpected! Thank you guys for all your help, my game is coming along rather well due to all the time you have invested into answering my questions and assisting me! This is great! :-D

Seriously though, I'm glad you got the award! I'm sure you'll dig on that subscription, TONS of good stuff in there. I learned many a gem from that site!
