C++ tutorials

Lol! I actually decided to learn C++ after I looked over it and found out it wasn't as hard as I thought. But anyway, does anyone know a good, slow paced C++ tutorial? I don't want a really fast one cause I wanna remember it. But if you can help or you could tell me a book and I can download the Ebook.

I dunno about Ebooks or anything but I learned C/C++ with Borland C++ for beginners hehe

I use that DevC++. Oh and one more thing. Does the compiler matter on compile time, because I used two different compilers to compile the same code, it was just a hello world and it took like 45sec to compile. Is that cause my comp is slow or the compiler?
