I only had 3/4 of a glass of champagne and I got drunk! :-P

If you are above the age of 21, then yay. There was alcohol at the party I was at yesterday. Some of my friends had some - not much though. No one got too drunk. Fortunately, I was too drunk off the Playstation 2 to realize what was going around me. Grand Theft Auto, you'll never let me down =) | |
Oh.. hmm.. that's right. Sometimes I forget there are people other than Americans =P By the way, what is the legal drinking age in the UK?

The legal drinking age in the UK is 18. I'm 12 and I'm also small for my age. There used to be people years younger than me that could push me around. But I soon put a stop to that.

Nm then...if your that small a glass of (i cant spell that at the moment) would probably get you a good buzz going. I weigh 220 lbs so umm, I can drink two bottles of (I still cant spell it) before i get drunk.

Ahh, this sparked my curiosity. For some odd reason I never understand why people (mainly teenagers) drink alcohol. I asked one of my friends about it, and he responded with "It doesn't taste good, but ah hell, I'll drink it anyways". Sometimes I wonder if my mental being effects the way I interpret things such as peer pressure, and the social norm in general. Eck, there I go with my endless ramble. I should just get to the point - if you do drink, then 'why'?

I was drinking to get drunk. I wasn't with anyone else my age, just my stepdad and he quite drinking two years ago.

Getting drunk accomplishes nothing. Alchohol, like cannabis and tobacco, is widely considered a 'social' drug. You take it with other people while engaging in polite conversation. I read somewhere that if alchohol and tobacco were discovered today, they'd be immediatly banned.

I was drinking becuase im depressed. Some people drink because they like to(my grandpa for example)some people drink becuase they have health problems and dont feel it so much while drunk...those are just a few examples.

It's not like i drink all the time...in fact i havent drank anything before last night since.......january i think.

Yo, I gotta take Jotdaniel side here. I mean, if someone was to ask me why I would willing drink, I couldn't give them a good answer. But, if you were at a party with some extremely fine girls, and music so loud you can't hear yourself think, and they were serving drinks what would you do? I mean, I don't get drunk often, just during special occasions like New Year's eve. I tried to only drink one bottle, But "Where the Party At" by So So Def was playing, and I had a bottle of Bacardi and Cris in my hand, so I said the hell with it and drank away (I had a bit of O.J. in there too).
