I have found a virus in the "Demos" section (read)

Petting Zoo Demo by Green Lime
is a virus. i downloaded it this morning hoping it would help my game. my anti-virus program detected it and i deleted it. I just thought someone should know.

which virus scanning program was it?

many actual programs might be considered viruses even if they arent harmful at all, depending on the type of virus program you use.

But caution is always good

it was norton anti-virus, and the file wasn't even dmb, nor dms, or dm, or any BYOND file, it was a program

Thats because the file goes to a folder that you have to open to get the demo. Its in the BYOND folder somewhere, I forgot exactly where.

Could have been some type of software on your computer that stoped that link and auto connected you to a virus file, i have never seen nor heard of one, but i believe you cant even upload a .exe on the hub.

ok, yep, i messed up, stupid thing w/ my IM screwed it up, its a zip, and its fixed now

I can verify that this is indeed a virus and needs to be deleted.

my norton repaired the file and i have a zip file now, if anyone wants it, please email [email protected]
