I'm goona get to the bottom line on the forever, on going Zeta issues that continue to occurr over and over.
I am the rightfull owner of DragonBall Zeta. If you wish to call your game DragonBall Zeta: Something or other, don't bother. The rips are enough, if you go a head anyways and put your game something like that, you're just making people have a bad impression on you; like you're a dumb dbzer.
We, the Zeta Staff, have declared war on Masterdan and his staff's game recently after attacks occuring on the real DragonBall Zeta, for example, pinging the crap out of the server, and spamming our servers with how pittiful our coders are.
For people that think "Hey RaeKwon! You ripped Zeta! You don't own it!"
Sure, I didn't before, but I do now. When the original Zeta was out, it was owned by Dracon nonetheless, but after the source code got out by mistake, Dracon was under much stress and bestowed the code, and ownership to me. I worked on the original base for a while, and found it a pain to alter things since I was not used to the code "I didn't code it myself".
So I re-coded it into version 14. I then lost the code, 3 months went by, no update, decided to clone version 14 to make version 15, been updating ever since.
If you enjoy insulting me when I enter games, good for you, do it. I go threw enough, so it doesn't matter at all. But refrain from entering my game to bad mouth me about idiotic things like "Lord RaeKwon you own Zeta but I want to be better than you so i'll insult you" crap. I'm just about tired of it, is this community trying to push me? Or is the crap goona end? I know it won't end, but I hope we can all work together to make it end.
[EDIT] I would also like to include to the imbosills that think Zeta-Classic is the "real zeta," there more wrong than me on a math test, Dracon signed on earlier and messaged me. I told him to explain to Goku72 that I own Zeta. I'm pretty sure he did, I should get him to reply to this and confirm it, so I can point everyone to this thread when they question my authority. This is true. I gave Zeta to RaeKwon, and that is final. Thus, ownership of Zeta has been and always will be (unless he hands it down to someone else) RaeKwon's.

all i got to say is there is no "Original" Zeta. Dracon made the original but did not finish it. The rest are just edited versions of them. Also this will not end for a while, there is nothing anybody can do about the rips but try to make a better one. You can think of it as a honor that people rip the game, it shows no one can make better icons or codes. All they can do is add to it.

No, let me straighten it out. No one here owns anything having to do with Dragonball unless it's overpriced toys and video tapes. None of you have the least little bit of right to call others for ripping off your rip off just because you were the first one to come up with a particular way to rip it off.

Yes, I know... but my point is... why is it okay for you to violate the copyright in making the game in the first place, but not okay for someone to violate your copyright? Why is it okay to steal the intellectual property of a company that has employees whose livelihoods depend on the profits of the DB serieses, but it's not okay to steal the intellectual property of a kid who cobbles together a game that in itself shows no respect for the intellectual property of others?
Tell me, if someone ripped off Zeta and made a new floor icon, and someone stole that floor icon from them, would you be right along side the floor icon maker in going after the new thief? That's basically what you're saying here... only every other generation of rip off is wrong. | |
I realize by making a DB game was already violating copyright infragment, but I emailed FuNiMation before I even started working on Version 15. I also suggest you close the topic in Q & A, Masterdan is stressing out.

LA, what he means by owns Zeta, is the code.
The icons he cant claim ownership to. nor the name.. But he can own the commands, the graphics they make themselves, the very code belongs to them, even if it portrays DragonballZ Ki Techniques, because not even DBZ owns Ki Techniques, they are Japanese Legend. Nobody owns that. People often mistake, or misinterpret what people say when rights to DBZ belong to .... but overall Raekwon is right. Dracon created the original code, and gave them to Raekwon. Raekwon now has full ownership. Dantom is far too busy to straighten this mess out, but if they ever had the time, they would probably remove and prevent all future Zeta code to be added except for Raekwons. and those Raekwon allows. But Dantom is busy and also very tolerant of other people making games, blindly so. | |

Your nitpicking, he hasnt stolen, the icon artist owns the rights, as you should know there can only be one goku, all others simply look like goku.. its not the coders fault that BYOND has limitations and several playes have to look similar. They arent goku, the icons are just given that name to look (similar) to. This statement would hold up in any court. because its true.. people are free to have artistic expression and to make sure their rights are protected. You seem to be against this for some reason. Raekwon isn't claiming ownership over Dragonball anything. If he were to a)charge for the use of his game or b)put in the hub description "Dragonball is copyright Raekwon C2003" or something like that.
As far as I am aware, RaeKwon has done neither, so therefore is using the Dragonball idea/icons/music/ets under a personal licence and so didn't actally rip the idea. | |
