Today was my first day on "ABC News," the news production team at my high school. Every morning at 10:20am, we have 3 people tell the school news, local news, and world-wide news. I was in charge of the world-wide news, so I announced a great company for creating online games "BYOND," I was impressed with how many people asked me more questions about it during lunch, so hopefully some of them come and try it! "School's population is around 1200".

You say that while ignoring their statements that they DONT want to advertise at the moment BECUASE they are losing money.

I feal, although right not dantom is lossing money per person, if we could get more people to make more of an impact, more people would buy BYOND cloths and mouse pads, more people would put dimes up, and so on. Hopfully BYOND will have more to offer people who are willing to pay for it, nothing that would hamper the community or make it so you cant play or make games without it. If anything worth paying for ever comes to BYOND, it had better not make someone willing to not pay out of the loop(besides maybie the blue book). Anywho, i think BYOND could start making money if they had more people, now i understand that this should not be a huge jump, but over time the commity should start charging a little more for there games(for as much as i hate that idea). Just to get those Dimes rolling.

Just to get those Dimes rolling. I somewhat agree, if the user base grows, BYOND's popularity will as well, means bigger proffit for Dantom, and more Fame for them as well. Dan and Tom are great people for supplying a community for free, and if they w'ere to have problems financialy (wrong spelling, I know), I know many people that would come together to help them out. Heh... I was one of the people who did the morning announcements in 7th or 8th grade. About the only thing I can remember about it is that my co-announcer once mistakenly read the lunch menu as offering "Fruit Desert" instead of "Fruit Dessert." To this day I still chuckle about it. I guess I'm easily amused. | |
