So...does anyone on BYOND still play with Lego's? I do, and I'm 14, going into highschool next year...well, I do. Have you seen any of the more impressive models? I mean wow...they can do some pretty cool stuff.
Post here on what you think about Lego's.

I used to play with legos all the time, i stopped, but i still have them in my room along with many of my creations that didn't get destroyed by battery missiles (my brother threw them at my Lego stuff all the time)
In response to Scoobert
Lol...how much would you sell them for?
In response to Tiko587
I only have like 2 buckets full, not a ton. But i would not sell them, im giving them to my little brother when i think he is old enough for them. I have lost my lego technic guy, those were the koolest, i wish they still made them, i would go buy one.
In response to Scoobert
Yeah....those technic dudes were always cool. I've got about three buckets full of legos...I'm about ready to start on a large scale project myself...you got any large projects you did?
In response to Tiko587
I build a casle out of all basic parts(like your normal rectangle shaped ones and smaller ones like 4 dot and 2 dot ones) it was really kool.
In response to Scoobert
You got any pics of it? My biggest project ever was a group of really crappy group of Link's. ^_^
In response to Tiko587
Nope, the old battery treatment, to put it simply, a lego wall is no match for a battery.
In response to Scoobert
It depends on the size of the battery, and the thickness of the wall.
In response to Jotdaniel
More liek the strength of the man throwing it, lol. Just a normal AA battery. But my legos have chips in about 1/10 of all the peices
In response to Jotdaniel
Yeah...battery chucking and Lego's...that had to be funny to see.
In response to Scoobert
Lol. See, what you have to do it layer it, with connecting peices between the layers to give it stability. I could build you a wall that could withstand a D battery.
In response to Jotdaniel
Well, its not like i own the lego company, the walls were about 2 dots thick, but when you peck at the top you can slowly work your way down untill there are none left.
I still love LEGO... And I'm 22! lol

Just recently, I put up a few pages with pictures of my largest project so far, a LEGO Voltron:

I'm working on getting some more pages up with my other various creations (I have all of the pictures taken, and ready to go... just gotta get the pages put together)

Lol... only if I had that much free time... Actually, that is pretty nifty, you should send your design into LEGO and see if they would publish it or release a new series of them. I used to play around with legos alot (I wasted hours making little home movies with them about 4-5 years ago) but I havn't touched them in a long time. School, work, friends, sleep, and the continuation of that rut has left me with little time to even do what I do best... Collectable Card Games! (I love anything that wastes money and time, but I can only do one of these types of things at a time... *sigh*)

Heh, it's not how much free time you have, it's how effectively you use that free time...lol

Unfortunately, I don't think LEGO would be willing to sell that one... Voltron is a copyrighted cartoon series (an anime, fram way back, no less)... And while LEGO may be selling copyrighted things today (Harry Potter, Star Wars)... The titles they're selling are current things that are really popular, and LEGO is able to approach the copyright holders to get the rights... For Voltron, it wouldn't be so easy anymore...

Plus, that model is way too big for LEGO to sell... He stands almost 2' tall when fully assembled, and weighs a TON...lol

Although, I could see them making a scaled down version of the same concept (just not the same character design)... But anyways, I've actually got some other original designs that I'd show them before I showed them the Voltron...lol

Then you aren't throwing the battery hard enough >=D

Well really, if they sold each wolf thing as a single peice, they could. I would like to show them some of my designs like my cyborg junkyard/repair station, but it was distroyed a long time ago. It was compleat with computers, cyborgs in containers, and men working on the computers, also a few cyborg componits out back. It was really kool because it had a portch with a security camera and everything. Also my scorpian hoover transport/repair ship. The tail had 16 hendges and swiveled a full 360 and more. The tail had a chainsaw, camera, knife, and welder. Now granted they chainsaw, camera, knife, and welder were not not real ones. It was tight. Also my space cargo transport. Wow i had a lot of stuff now that i think back to it. Almost makes me want to dust them off and go at it again.

Yes, I recall watching the old Voltron cartoon and even the spiffy American version with the 3d lions and such, but I was never really hooked on the concept or the boring battle phases (But back then it beat the hell outta Power Rangers as the "kids show to watch after school").
I wish I still had my legos, I could do so much now with my newfound skill with Macromedia Flash Director and all the sound effects I currently have, too bad I gave them to my cousin... *sniff*
The last things I ever recall making were; a replica of Dr.Wiley's castle from Rockman II, A robotic arm that I used to grab things with (Lazyness inspired me, or maybe it was Inspector Gadget... well a little of both), and a big car with really small wheels... lol (Aah, the good ol' days before a job)
