What do you think about the recent news? I found out that Canada rejected helping the states against the war with Iraq. I find that [unbelievable], I’m rather mad right now. Why would us Canadians reject something to the most powerful country in the world? Are we trying to get betrayed back, when we are in need of great military forces? If something was going on with Canada, the US would help us without question. Why did we turn them down? Is our “President” some type of idiot? What’s your thoughts on this.

On the contrary. Refusing the help the United States has informed them subtly but effectively that if they want our assistance in the future, then they should take international trade agreements and the like seriously.

One thing that I have found though is all over the world, the president that hates the US the most seems to be the one to win alot.
But anyways, I'm not suprised Canada did not help because really, Hardly any countries repay america, or help america on it's own things (last I heard Canada helped was in WWII), but then again, they WOULD probably help us if we were actually attacked at our homelands, because that is mostly the only time we usually help, but no country has really attacked us on our homelands except Japan and a terrorist group in Afganistan... I'm talking about that last hundred years of course though. For other countries, constantly get attacked, then we help them, but in the past 100 years america has never really been attacked, and when we are, we whipe the threat out in 2 weeks. I think it was a bad idea for Mexico to not help us because when we win, which is obviously a when and not an if, all the countries will then get Iraqi riches such as oil for cheaper, and with Mexico's economy in a rutt, that would have helped them. I'm very glad to see Spain is finally getting it's hands dirty, because I don't think they have actually been in a major war since they lost their armada, and it's about time they showed that they were a force to reckon with. |

Canada rendered assistance to the United States in the initial stages of the War on Terrorism. The United States repayed the favour by accidentally dropping a bomb on some of our troops. Suffice it to say that Canada is a little wary of helping out the United States any time soon. |
I am sick and tired of everyone saying we should all back the U.S. in their decision. "Let's just bow down and accept that the United States is the leading super power and that all decisions made there-from are correct. Resistance is futile. Join the willing".
I, for one, will not bow down. This war had a lot of protest to it and for good reason. Those protesters to the U.S. who now bow down are cowards. Stand up for what you believe. -Dagolar |

If Canada bows down to the U.S. now, that will be a mockery of our resistance to join. Despite U.S. plans to invade, we should stand up and hold our position that we will not support this. They can go ahead an do it. We can't stop them. But we'll be damned if we're going to HELP them. The commentary for this up and coming war has been filled with too much American propaganda, self-interest and hidden agendas. Anyone who protested that, who now supports them, should be ashamed of themselves.

Well from an american stand point that isn't a great thing to do considering that we are the most powerful country in the world and probably the most heplful also. Though maybe they don't want to disturb any trade agreements that they have with Iraq just in case this war doesn't actually happen :(. Anyway when we wipe the floor with Saddam, Freedom fries for all courtesy of Dubya. :)

You see how bad the media is in America? I never heard at all that Canada helped us. Austrelia had their "9/11" a little while ago, I think it was like 300-500 or something people died, america did nothing but say it once in one of the reports on world news tonight with Peter Jennings. After that, Austrelia was suspisious on how close of friends the US and Austrelia really were.

Kind of an accident that never should of happened, I mean I think I heard the pilots were all on speed that the military gave out to them, and it was possible they were so high they actually thought they were bombing the enemy.
|
It sounds like if we don't help the U.S. with their war in Iraq, we never helped them at all. It's ridiculous. Canada has done plenty for the AMERICAN PEOPLE, not the American government. And good on Canada for that. I stand by helping the people of the U.S.. They deserve it. I'll be damned if I am going to stand behind the United States government.

What type of idiot would let someone on Speed fly a jet? They should have some type of tests before letting them enter the jet. If they did it inside of the jet, why wouldn't of they seen it with the camera inside the cockpit? RaeKwon |
