Actually no, Ive got the hud done(pretty much), car movement, and a couple other things. Its a recode of a freinds game, he came to me needing help(and lots of it). The only thing I kept were the turfs(no sense redefining them). Oh and I forgot, I've got the login as well. Main things I need to get done right now are getin/out of cars, how to handle felonies, and how to get paid for missions automatically. After those, it should just be small things to do.

Theres pay, or not pay. If you dont pay, its basically just a redirector, like cjb.net. You have have up to 3 different non pay sites. The pay is actually only 10 dollars a month, not bad at all. http://www.dot.tk is the site where you can get one. They've got over 1 million domains under .tk right now.

bah, its only 10 dolors a year for a .com, not hosting, but i host my own. But i would want it to show the /blah/index.html type stuff. Does it do that?

I really dont know, I was just using it to hide my tripod web address. I've applied for a free host that allows cgi/perl and php, with 220 megs of space, but they havent gotten back to me on that yet.

Does hosting your own require you to be online all the time, and does it make you more vonerable to hackers?

Yup, but if you keeps a good firewall up, you dont have to worry much, but you wouldnt want to host a web site if your not dsl or better(cable, t1 that kinda stuff)

Yes, but there is a 'catch.' If you choose to NOT PAY, you will have 2 or three ads that are pop-ups, and are really annoying. I only use it because I needed a free domain name for my site.

No, it DOES NOT do /blah/index.html subdomain tag. All .tk is used for is TO "CLOAK" you original subdomain ( blah.com/~usr/index.html becomes --> www.my_own_domain.com)
So, for another example, one of my sites are galileo.spaceports.com/~wolf01/phpBB2 , now is digitalchat.tk for a cloak.

OMG! You haven't figured how to turn off the adds? I don't pay, and I don't have any adds! Here is Wolf's website address, since he was too lazy to make it a link, and the two under it are my website creations.

As far as your site, Jotdaniel, change the colors to a lighter scheme. The black is ok sometimes, but I would definently go a bit lighter.

o yea. Jot, nice site! Personally, i don't like tripod, i got with geocities, less ads (one little CLOSEABLE banner on the right). But its a great site. *is looking forward to Grand Theft Auto Online*

I use tripod because the file space is 20 megs. Anyway, I'm still waiting for my other hosting application to go through, it should give me no adds, with php support and 220 megs of storage, for free. Thats if they accept me.

no, some1 said earlier you can disable the dot.tk ads. and yes, on your website, you have ads too.
