Im not, I know there is a goal in life, but it can be altered, and changed by the decisions i make today.

I believe by taking things seriously all the time, games... small insignificant events can help prevent people who cant see the big picture from making minor mistakes in the future.

I believe in influencing others, every minor step you take, every minor decision alters your life, and the life of all around you.

I believe that if it's your time it's your time, however.. I also think you can postpone, and even reverse that effect by taking the life of the person trying to take your life.

It gets complicated.. but i think its best not to pay much attention unless you get that eerie feeling. at that time you should take a step back and assess all possible choices.
Ever play chess?

Its basically what you just described.

so is life, psychology, and everything else
In response to Dareb
It was just an example.

Life is a big chess game where everybody dies. Life has no meaning.

lol.

life has meaning, you just have to choose it.

Your meaning in life also determines your value and worth to others, so you can imagine how people see you when you have no meaning..
In response to Dareb
The meaning of life is to prepare for death.
In response to Jinjo21
thats not a meaning in life, thats an inevitable end.

please, think the question through and then answer it, and if that was your serious answer you need help.
In response to Dareb
He did answer the question. The subject line is "Are you a fatalist?", and that statement sounds pretty darn fatalistic to me! =P
In response to Crispy
The meaning of life, just as every other obfuscated theoretical half-assed question that aims to be unanswerable, is exactly what you want it to be. It's your life, what its purpose or meaning is, is entirely up to you.

Well, thats my biased opinion anyways. Im pretty sure the reason I continue to live has nothing at all to do with preparing for death.
In response to Alathon
your right. But to say you have no meaning in life is merely the preparation for death.
In response to Dareb
Then why do we aspire to spend our time alive as best we can. If our meaning was to merely die then why dont we just keel over now?
Dareb sagt:
Are you a Fatalist?

Nope! I'm a (takes a deep breath):

Anarchist reactionary running-dog revisionist
Hindu muslim catholic creation/evolutionist
Rational romantic mystic cynical idealist
Minimal expressionist post-modern neo-symbolist

Armchair rocket scientist graffiti existentialist
Deconstruction primitive performance photo-realist
Be-bop or a one-drop or a hip-hop lite-pop-metallist
Gold adult contemporary urban country capitalist

No no no you misunderstood what I meant. I meant that the reason I am living is to prepare for heaven. Most religions do believe in a higher place. But the purpose is to clense yourself and be prepared for heaven which is pretty much death. Death really isnt as bad as the world thinks it to be. You go to a better place if you were good. And sometimes a worse form/place if you were bad.

He said that the meaning of life is "to prepare for death", not "to die." And I think it's a pretty good answer, if vague--not that the alternative answer given is all that precise, either, although the two of them are actually pretty similar. Think of where (in the big-picture sense) and what you want to be before you die, and what you need to or want to do to get that far--that is how you would prepare for death.
In response to Jinjo21
"Good" doesnt really describe it all that well, and it quite misleading to some people.
