How would I disable the graphic card that my computer came with so i can free up some memory and use my new graphics card? My Mother Board came with an integrated S4 Savage 3 32MB Ram graphics card, and I bought a GeForce 4 MX 440 PCI 64 MB Ram graphics card. How do I disable the integrated S4 Savage 3 32MB Ram graphics card? Please Resond.

thanx

[EDIT]

I probably should of said this, I have Windows XP Home Edition.

thanx again
im not a real pro on this...but i had to plug my monitor into my graphics card for it to work.
-Start menu
-Settings
-Control Panel
-System
-Hardware tab
-Device manager
-Go down to and expand Display Adapters
-Right-click on the S4 Savage 3 32MB, hit disable.
-Make sure that the other card is enabled and installed
-Restart
(You may have to disable the first one, restart, enable the new one, and then restart again)

That should work for you (assuming the new card is installed and setup properly)

yes, do what he said ^_^, but also, you will need to go into your BIOS to switch between the two graphics cards, and than switch between them in windows it self.

If you don't switch in windows, you will get one of two errors... either a screwed up screen/colros or some other junk like that...or your monitor just won't work

better to switch in the BIOS/hardware setup. usually some where in the plug-n-play settings (depending what kind of bios you have) you can change your video from "onboard" to "pci" or "agp", for example.
